Oh boy! What Jolly FUN!

Fortunately Unfortunately was once played on the older Metanet forums, and I've decided to revive it.

The rules are simple: people continuously take turns posting unfortunate/fortunate things about a situation that progresses with every post. For example...

First poster: UNFORTUNATELY we are at a picnic and forgot our sandwiches.
Second poster: FORTUNATELY some kind soul gives us his extra ones.
Third poster: UNFORTUNATELY those sammiches are poisoned.
Fourth poster: FORTUNATELY ________________.
Fifth poster: UNFORTUNATELY ______________________!
Sixth poster: etc.

Me being without sin (and being the starter of the thread here), I shall cast the first stone.

UNFORTUNATELY I have lost my pet dog.

FORTUNATELY he was a very stupid dog that always ripped up everything in sight.

UNFORTUNATELY that isn't a FORTUNATE event. when posting for FORTUNATELY, you need to state a fortunate fact about the situation, and vice versa. YEAH.

Different subject, I am usually against putting down any animal unless they are in serious pain and cannot hope to recover from it.

Unfortunately, the terrorist was a green-hating fanatic on a mission to kill trees and rainbows. He also was in love with Mona Lisa and slit his wrist each time he killed somebody. He won the election for the Afghanistan Government and is known as Achmed the Dead Terrorist. He won the award for "Maddest madman" on the 28th of June, 1994.

That would be more along the lines of 'fortunately' because he can't do that anymore.
