Operation SKYJACK

Welcome to Skyjack.
Synopsis: Terrorists have captured an airplane (I.D. FLIGHT #146) as it taxis down the runway of a large international airport. As the leader of a country on planet LEON-1, it is your duty to react to the situation in a professional and appropriate manner.
The Planet:
The Game: Inspired by my very short lived country-simulation experiment Colossus, I have re-built the entire idea and based it around an old game I played in my 7th grade social sciences class. In this game you will play the leader of one of the six countries you see on the above map. After being assigned a country, you will be given a time line of events. The inciting incident is the terrorist attack on Flight 146. In addition to dealing with negotiations in regards to the terrorists, you will also have the duty to complete secret side missions that I will PM you. During the course of the game, you will create and destroy treaties, solve large international conflicts, and ultimately uncover the dark secrets help deep within LEON-1.
Sign-ups: To be in the game, you must first post a letter explaining why you wish to be a leader and why you are capable of playing this game to its fullest extent. I need commitment on your behalf. You will be given time to respond to events in the time line; however, if you miss these deadlines you will be docked points. The game system will most likely be based on points. To earn the most points you must be able to anticipate terrorist actions and plan accordingly. Each time there is a time line event, you will either be given options to choose how to respond, make up your own line of action, or a mixture of both. What actions the terrorists take are pre-decided by myself before the game begins, and whoever is closest to anticipating and dealing with these actions will be rewarded. More on how the game works after sign ups. We have six available slots, and the game will begin within one week of this posting. Good luck!

Albis looks like a shark.
Paradisio is an anthropomorphic rhino in a cultist robe.
And Mastijya is a Cthulu head.
Do I win? I skipped the description of how to play because it was long and therefore boring.
What's my prize?

Yeah, sign me up. I'm on here pretty much every day so I can commit to this well. (Don't be deceived by my incredibly low post count about that)
Is it possible to have the two Islands between Escova and Pandora? If that's possible, I'd like to have these :)
This will allow a 7th and maybe an 8th player into this game :)
If not, give me Majisya
Just one question, do we give our response to terrorist actions here in the form of:
*Terrorist action*
*My response*
Or do we PM it to you?

The map is more for aesthetics and giving you a sense of how the planet is set up, so it doesn't matter what islands you have. The map will come to play a small part later though. And for the moment six players is enough, I don't want this to get too complicated. As for the choices, it will go something like such: The terrorists have captured the plane and are demanding a ransom of $500 million, otherwise they will start to kill people. Do you a) give in to their demands, b) I don't negotiate with terrorists, c) _________. Obviously when the game starts the situations will be more complex, as will be the choices you have, but this is sort of how it will work. Notice this is subject to change, and it will vary whether you can make your own choices or not. Mostly that is because I don't want people to just say, "lol jsut bomb th trrorists rolf." It would be nice to keep a degree of realism.

Hmm... After a bit of thought, I think I might sign up for this. It looks quite interesting...
For commitment, I'm on the forums quite often. It might drop a bit when school starts again, but I should hopefully be able to get on everyday, atleast briefly. As for the game itself, it's definately an interesting concept... (and it seems perfectly good for my ego, pronouncing myself King. Or High and Mighty Dictator.)
Hmm... As for country, I'm leaning towards Albis.
And on a side note, does every country have some sort of special ability unique to that country (i.e. crack forces or counter-terrorism units, ect), or are all the countries the same?

Drath, I don't we think we really have special abilities.
However, I do believe that the decissions you will have to make depend on which one you decide to choose.
So I will get different choices then you.
We really need to get enough people who want to contribute to this.
Because it sounds like a great idea and I can't wait to get started.
Also, my activity will also drop when school starts again, which will be Tomorrow :)
But I'll still be on every day. I hope. So no worries.
EDIT:
Did I just put school starts tomorrow and :) in one line?
Holy shit! I did! ((Not that I wish school was destroyed and stuff, but I'm not happy either))

I'd blow the plane up and kill all of them. Unfortunately, I don't have time to play.

None of them really have special abilities. However, once the game starts, I will PM you certain side missions to complete during the game, some of which will affect how you react to the terrorists.

NOTE: I don't feel like reading the whole entire first post, nor do i feel like playing this 'game',and the following is a joke...
Which country hi-jacked the plane?
*which country is the terrorist from?*
By following the ambitions of the common american after 9/11
My decision would be to

Ahaha - ha - ha - haha - ehrm.... Shut your mouth.
First of all, you don't need to post here if you don't want to participate, unless you are trying to raise your post count.
((Which wouldn't work either, because Fun & Games doesn't affect your post count.
And you've obviously not read the first post, because we aren't meant to take decisions like that, since it would ruin the idea of the game, but you knew that.
And we aren't speaking of a real world here anyway.
So stop making bad, childish and ordinary jokes and go do something useful.
Thank you.

It's....a...joke.
But apparently, even after clearly said it was ONLY a joke..
NOTE: I don't feel like reading the whole entire first post, nor do i feel like playing this 'game',and the following is a joke...
And I already know I don't gain post counts on the fun and games forum, nor do I care at all about post counts..
Not to mention the rules on 'Fun and games' aren't very strick, but
If it really makes you happy, why don't you just contact a moderator and get my post removed..gzyou
*edit* I have read the rules, and it's really hard to say if I have broken this one I am referring to..but it's still 'just' a joke and what you said(most of it) was very uncalled for..

You should move this to Board Index > Interests > Tabletop Gaming
It'll get more attention there.
