In the wilderness, shovels can be made from materials in the environment. Blowtorch, a little harder. And fire is always useful, as is the ability to set people -on- fire.

I chose blowtorch.

In a zombie apocalypse , a shovel would be the most useful. So shovel is clearly the correct answer.
