for whatever reason, my N editor stopped working today. i press the little ~ symbol for debug mode like normal and then i press 'e' for edit. here's where the problem starts. when i press 'insert' or 'delete' or see a quick flash of the tile or item menus for a half second and then they're gone and im back to the edit menu. i can press and hold insert or delete for however long i want but it just keeps flashing and i have no time to select the appropriate tile, enemy, etc. anyone know whats going on? if all else fails im just going to re-download N, but if possible i would like to keep all my saved data.

No one knows how or why that happens, but it always fixes itself after a few days. You could try rebooting your computer to see if it resolves right away. But if not, then just wait a few days and it should go back to normal.

Also, I have never heard of this problem in all my time, if all else fails,r edownload N, your .sol should still be there when you redownload.

If it's N that doesn't work, you can always try NReality or some of the alternative editors, for example Artismic.
