yeah im used to the glitches now.. as long as your aware of the glitches, they add more possibilities to the maps. well, one change id like is when after unlocking a door, putting a trap door in the same area doesnt work (i dont know how hard it is to program the "locking" of an unlocked door).
generally, glitches are fun
Should glitches be fixed?

sorry if someone already mentioned this, i'm too lazy to read, but there was mention of a "new" version where the drones and stuff surface follow how it was originally planned and some other stuff. glitches could be taken out of that version, and the classic version would still have them.
to save me from creating a new topic, what's the deal with v1.5, is it still coming out after robotology? and is there any new(er) list of what it will be like?

I would fix the two maxson said plus the userlevels practice mode personal best one but their fairly minor I definitely wouldn't romove all the great gameplay cornerjumping, squeezing (not sure if thats intended), chaingun dodging, doors and slopes letting you through one-ways, special thwumps like 86-3, teleporters, and so on give you for that N would be a shell of a game, maps would be generic and boring if they even worked and the world would end.

Exactly right.maxson924 wrote:I think the only glitches that need fixing are when a laser fires through tiles and the ability to walljump through downward-facing oneways. The rest add to the experience of the game, and like others have said, it just makes it fun.
Corner jumping, bounceblock double jumping, chaingun weaknesses aren't glitches. They're just ways which the objects have been manipulated to suit the gameplay. They may not have been intended, but the object is still functioning the way it was supposed to
walljumping up through a one-way is clearly not an intended thing to happen, as well as rockets and lasers going through tiles. Also thwumps and bounceblocks and tiles pushing through one-ways should stop.

QFE. That said, I think that some of the glitches should be optional. For instance, glitched tiles shouldn't be fixed, because people can choose to use or not use them, and when they do use them, it can often result in increasing the playablity and/or funness of the level.maxson924 wrote:I think the only glitches that need fixing are when a laser fires through tiles and the ability to walljump through downward-facing oneways.
