Tell your experience of the first time that you played the sensational Metanet game.

The first time that I heard about N was at the library, November 2005. My friend had shown my other friend the game, so he showed it to me. I was hooked instantly, and when my friend downloaded the game, he sent me the link. So i played it, and in May 06, while I was playing in the userlevels, I found the NUMA link. I quickly joined up. Thats how I heard about N and NUMA.

I first found the game posted on AddictingGames.com a long time ago (~2004). I beat the first episode then gave up because I could not beat 1-0 (I know, I was a n00b @ that time and had no persistence) Then, one day (2006 I think), I was with a friend when he brought up the game. He told me about the downloaded version. I downloaded it and was instantly hooked. Now, 2 years later, I have just 16 episodes to go in the game.

Same as George. As it turns out, I'm the only one who still plays N, I think. Everyone else criticizes it as out of style. They obviously don't know what they're talking about. :P

Found NUMA/forums in winter 2005-2006 (I was a lurker during Legacy: Origins, if that helps.), joined NUMA in April 2006, forums in August.

Fast forward about three years, and I'm still here. :D

I was at a homegroup and someone showed me gprime.net. Well a couple of months later I find n on it and beat everything on it. I soon wanted more so I downloaded the full version. I made levels and tried to put them in the userlevels file with no luck. I told my friend (a computer genius) and he showed me how to do it and while he was showing me it he found the numa link. He told me, I made an account in the summer and have been making/playing maps ever since.

Well that's my story. :)

N was on Ebaum's world and I played it constantly there. looked up the website, downloaded the game, completed it twice (my first .sol was deleted :/)
found NUMA through the credit page, became obsessed with ddas by Clifty. found the forums looking for the "DDA Manifesto."

hooray.

I played it at addicting games, stopped playing it for a long time, somehow looking for it again, I found the downloadable version, then, like 6 month after that, I figured out how to make maps.

I figured out about numa when I downloaded it.

after a year of numa, I joined.

Back when I was really little. Like in year 1, I used to watch bigger kids play the game on their laptops. I used to think they were really good, now I know they sucked. After four long years my friend brought up the game. He was always one step ahead of me, telling me a lot of new things. But then he quit, and we know him as N_625. His metanet forums username is Someone. I sucked at it and had a long long break. Then now I hav again got really hooked on and have just really got into the N spirit :)

Ok so in March 2008 in my webdesign class whenever we were supposed to be working, these kids would start playing N. They showed me how to download it, and I played and sucked. Towards the end of the class, I saw a kid messing around in NED and I tried it. Soon, CHA0S_SA1NT was born. lol. Then I took a long break, lurked for a while, and came back as RadiumFalcon. Heh, been here ever since.

A friend showed it to me back in 2006, soon after which i started making levels. In early 2007 i joined NUMA and started sharing my shitty maps with everyone. Then in late 2007 i joined the forums.

Christmas 2004, I google searched lode runner, hoping for a new/os X compatible version of that, and hit upon n. Found numa by the summer, then lurked for about forever.

It was so long ago, I have to work it out by looking at the very first numa map I remember seeing submitted,

It was November 2006 for me. I saw many people playing it in the computer room at school on various occasions. However, they were always playing the SAME level. It was 24-2. I don't know why.

At the start I was really bad at it, being unable to get past 00-2, but I stuck with it...

Later, everyone else got bored on 94-4 and then moved on. Now they are playing some completely bland free online games.

I was on andkon.com searching for platforms in January 08', and in the very bottom corner, I see N. I play it on and off, but I love the game. I search for it, and find Nv1.4pc, so I download it, and play it. In march, I see that you can get more levels off of NUMA, so I lurk for about a week or two, then I make a map I really like, and join.

I really really wish I could have used the computer for something else besides school work before then tho'.

6th or 7th grade, I saw another kid playing it. He was making levels (bad ones) in the Neditor, and asked me if I wanted to try. After a glimpse at the level data box, I n00bishly responded, "I can't do that. I don't know how to code." About a year later, I finally got around to asking the kid what the name of the game was. He told me, I Googled it, etc. Heatwave was born.
