N v.1.5 suggestions

Just post any suggestion of yours for v.1.5 as long as it doesnt contradict with this.

These are my suggestions:

- Adding a 'random map' button in the userlevels section, what would load a randomly created map, something like instantly loading a map generated with LV's map generator
- the game makes a screenshot of your desktop that gets loaded in the boss mode instead of that grey background

I reckon a new object could be a treadmill, that would be awesome!

And also the thing i want the most, would be drones, floorgaurds and thumps that can go diagonally.

Probably my biggest want for 1.5 is the little headband round the ninjas head =]
I think that these two contradict with these, although I'd like to see the ninja looking like ninja+:

When you pass levels, upgrading your ninja will be awesome.
Like this:
Jumping:[Graph here]or some diagonal bars that uses some points which you gain in game when you beat episodes]Like this: Jumping:///// which means you spent 5 points to increase jumping ability of your ninja.
And etc.
İt would be awesome.But can spoil the game though,so you can add to options:
Game with upgrading.
Game with no-upgrading.
Some of the levels will be same,others not.
Even though you don't like upgrading,it'll good that when you beat an episode,if you want to play one of the levels in that episode[like 14-3]you should have ability to select that level,not play the episode from beginning to play that level.Of course;if you finished that episode earlier.

in new levels it would be cool to et new prizes, i.e when you complete11 levels, u have all the colours and you could get something else

the accesories would be coool but anouther cool thin would be a sparkly trail behind the ninja as he ran

I think upgrading would be pretty unfair/bad/annoying. Levels would become easier to beat not because you get better, but because the ninja can jump higher. To me this game is all about skill. That can only develop if the rules (jumping height) stay constant.

Also, Tunco123, you can already access individual levels in the highscores section. Once you're there, click on an episode (14), then on the number (3) of the level you want to play.
Of course you have to have unlocked it already, but that's kind of the point of the game ;)

Damn, I remember back in 06'-07' it was always something along the lines of, "Hey, 1.5 will be out next fall". Apparently we're still waiting... Too bad. I was hoping two years might've showed some progress. This I say in the kindliest of ways. I just hope it gets here sometime before I'm dead.

I would not like that. At all. It would seem like taking a shortcut as a mapper, as well as making it harder for the player to figure the enemies out. I like things just the way they are, except for one thing:

A gold counter. For each gold you consume... is that how I should say it?... anyway, it goes on the counter. Your gold only gets counted if you succeed the level that the gold was in. If you get all the possible gold on the level it would say "You have consumed all the gold in this level. Congratulations!' Maybe even a gold-ish flavour for the ninja if you consumed all the possible gold in the game.

Note: if you restart a level, all the gold previously consumed in that level will be removed from the counter if you collected (hey, I remembered the word!) more gold than the last time you played the level.

i think drone- activated trapdoors and locked doors. they would have great use for many action, prisoner, and experimental maps. the possibilities would be endless.
maybe just triggered by zap drones or a specific type of drone.

Gold-Eating Drone
Über-easy to implement. You already have the drones. And you have a ninja that uses gold. Now just mash 'em together, and take out the part where collect'n gold gives time. Great for highscoring! You have to save the gold before the drone easts it. You could also add a switch-eating drone too which all ninjas would grow to hate.

Also:
- Toggleable door (run over the button to close door, run over it again to open)
- Switch-Flipping Drone (a zap drone that activates switches when it passes over them just as N would. Again, easy to implement and it would spawn a whole new family of puzzle maps

ok i think we should keep this game simple, things that would implement other keys should be taken out. i do think a gold eating drone would be cool, and maybe make the treadmill go AGAINST you constantly

That's like suggesting World of Warcraft should be more like Halo.

i think the first one would result in Nmaps being spammed with maps and a description of 'look what the random maps generator did for me! isnt it awesome' or something like that.

anyway, for an idea, how aboutnew tiles? like a 1 square circular tile? or a triangular tile (not the ones already done) or people could add suggestions.

I'd like to see toggleable doors and user episodes.
An ingame tutorial like tktktk's simple challenge that trains people to do technical maneuvers like corner jumps and double bounceblock jumps.

Apparently they would have to completely remake N to implement tiles that didn't fill up at least one side of a tile. I'd like more tiles too :(

I think that in the editor there should be a select tool for objects, as there is with tiles, as that would make things much more easier.
