Why not update it? There are a whole bunch of bugs that need fixing, adding new content like new drones, obstacles, maybe even new tiles, all that kind of stuff would be great. Maybe a whole new set of episodes; even like 5 would be great. I don't think I've seen a new version of N for... 3 years? More?
What the hell is Metanet doing? This game has way too much potential to be ignored like this...
If you want to make N popular...

If by bugs you mean stuff like floorguard glitches, oneway glitches, corner jumping, and going through chaingun drone fire, I personally don't think they should be fixed. HIghscorers have been using those glitches to their advantage since the game was made. Would N be as exciting without those glitches? No? Yes? Well, you can get N+ (DS, PSP, XBLA), which has gotten rid of those (but added some others in the process).njitsu wrote:There are a whole bunch of bugs that need fixing
You should check out Nreality here. It has pretty much everything you described there, except for the new tiles. I doubt new tiles can/should be implemented by M&R because for a tile to function properly (enemywise, and perhaps ninjawise due to something about collision detection), one entire side of the tile space must be a tile. The wiser ones can tell you about that.njitsu wrote:adding new content like new drones, obstacles, maybe even new tiles, all that kind of stuff would be great. Last version was 1.4, from April '04, which makes it nearly 6 years of update-lessness, unless you include Nreality, which Unreality tries his best to constantly update, and N+. Meanwhile, you can tell everybody you're playing a classic.njitsu wrote:I don't think I've seen a new version of N for... 3 years? More?
Last I heard, they were working on two new games, Robotology and Office Yeti. You should check out their blog, which they recently promised to update, here.njitsu wrote:What the hell is Metanet doing? This game has way too much potential to be ignored like this...
