IMO,3rd option
Here's My Reason - The Normal And Seeker Drones Have The Same Tactic In Killing The Ninja:if the ninja touches them. The seeker drones are enhanced versions of normal drones hence the seeking feature added. The other drones have different ways of killing them. The laser drone has a laser(obviously). The laser drone charges up then fires. The chaingun drone uses bullets and are inaccurate. You may think they are the same even with the usage of different material but in my mind, let's pretend the ninja is in a chimney like area, about to fall down.Let's say the drone is in the other side of the chimney (side-manner).If the ninja would check the area then fall like crazy to the exit door,he would have more chances in evasion.(BTW,he falls down milliseconds before the drone attacks). If it's a chaingun,he would have less chances of evasion.
If you were smart enough,it's self explanatory

I agree with Kablizzy! Which is awesome!
EDIT: No idea how many posts I have because one time you-know-who deleted some of them, and the rest were sort of lost in the hazes of time.
