This has happened too many times to me--run CCleaner, and N progress is wiped clean.
What category should I avoid cleaning so that I don't delete the sacred .sol file?

The "Don't use CCleaner" category.

An alternative solution is to backup your files.
Yes... you'll need to backup your own sol.

Based on this sentence, this is what I get from this: that
you know CCleaner is going to wipe your N progress, and you do it anyway. Whether Blizz's joke was a joke or serious (or a combination), I agree.

I've run it a total of maybe three times (each spaced a year or so apart); every time I do I think "agh, I ought to think before doing that again..." and then I do it again months later without thinking. I guess "too many times" implied that I used it a lot more that that.

In all fairness, three is too many.
