Some play for satisfaction, others out of boredom. I play because my subconscious has tricked my mind into thinking it will ease the pain.

To make maps, I don't play N much.

I make levels because it's fun. Ned exists to unlimit N. It would be limited on just those maps that is implemented in the game. Map making would be senseles if nobody would play it. So I guess this poll is senseles because, map-making, playing, beating - that's what N is about.

I play N to add another game under my belt. When I obtain a better computer with hopefully a heck of a lot more RAM, I will thoroughly beat it much like an exterminator deals with cockroaches.

The community, man. I would've stopped long ago if it weren't for the community.

I've already beaten all the levels, so I play now to make my own maps and play others' maps. Like gloomp and BigBlargh said, the community keeps me going.

I've been addicted to this for a long while. However, it's the community that has stopped me quitting altogether.

I play, map, and love the game. I probably wouldn't be playing it right now though, if it weren't for the community.

Thanks everybody!

Exactly. I never would have still been playing this if it weren't for the community and everyone in it. =D

If NUMA never existed, I'd probably have quit N years ago.

When I played it I played it for fun. It was entertaining using NeD to throw the ninja around and trying to jump off the side walls without dieing.
