I have managed to figure out how to get past the first three columns of upward-moving thwumps. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get past the fourth column (right before the switch.)

I have tried hitting the spot where the gold is, but half the time I get shocked, and the other half I get pushed through the one-way platforms by backwards-moving thwumps and fall to my death.

Someone has to know, what is the trick here?

To get on topic, the trick here is that its extremely hard. The way that seems to work best, based on my own playing, and a quick look at the highscores, is to jump up towards the ceiling, making sure not to trigger the thwumps too early. The idea is to have the thwumps all be moving upwards, and you to be falling towards them from the left so that you land on the one-way when the last thwump passes it, so that you run right underneath it. There's not much room for error, and I had a lot of times where I'd slide down the thwumps, or otherwise get stopped by them. But I think that's easier than the way that you're talking about. In the future, if you're playing and have internet access, I'd suggest opening a 2nd window of NReality and take a look at the highscores. The NReality levels are generally much less competitive than episodes 00-99, and so the bottom few submitted runs are pretty much completion runs without the intention of going for a highscore.

Also, out of curiosity, is there a reason you haven't submitted your scores? Although those wouldn't be nearly as fun to watch without your running commentary.

I haven't submitted my scores because I didn't really care. Also I think I tried a while ago on my old computer but it wouldn't upload. Then again, that might have had something to do with the fact that my old computer likely had a virus or two on it. I'll try again soon enough if I feel motivated.

EDIT: Are you sure this is the strategy for the FOURTH column? It works fine for the third, but I keep getting pushed through the platform for the fourth.

Yeah, I'm sure. Like I said, its really tricky, and there's really not much leeway. Watch the top several demos on the highscore rankings, we all do it the same way. I wouldn't necessarily recommend going for the extra gold at the right side though, that last column isn't the easiest to get through either.

And just as a fun little tidbit, the 100 and 110 columns were originally released by blue_tetris as Super Hard Column 1 and Super Hard Column 2 respectively.

Being completely fresh to the forum, I have no idea where these demos are. I looked in the "High Scores" area, but found nothing relating specifically to 104-0. If you can, please provide a link.

What he's referring to is the highscores on N/Nreality. Just click highscores (right where you would click play game or configure), click 104, then level 0. You'll be able to view other players' runs on that level.

One tip: I believe you have to be "logged in" in the Configure menu of N in order to view highscores. I could be wrong, but if you find the tables aren't loading in the highscores menu, that'd be the first thing I'd check. If you haven't done it before, fill out the username/pass/email forms and push the "create new user" button, but make sure you have the username and password you want in there, as this will create your NUMA account as well!

Well the good news is that I managed to pull off the move. So thanks everybody for helping me keep my faith.

The bad news is that after doing levels 0-3 once, I got to level 4 with only 30 seconds left and I simply could not pull it off. So I'm going to have to start all over again >:(

Thats bittersweet news to hear. And yeah, the problem with the rest of the episode isn't necessarily that they're hard to complete (other than 104-3), but that there's just not that much gold. You really need around a minute or more left when you get to the last level to not feel super-rushed. And don't feel too bad about not being able to finish it with 30 seconds left, there's only been 7 people ever who would have been able to do so.

Please post the video(s) here when you finish. I'm looking forward to them, even though they'll be out of order. (I've only watched up through episode 101 so far.)

Awesome! Exactly same happens to me :P I've been stuck on that level for a while, and I still cant beat it.
I beat the first 3 columns always, but I cant pass through the fourth, never :/

Well, I finally managed it. For those concerned, the videos will come soon enough. I might attempt 114 this weekend (I'm going horizontally instead of vertically.)

Congrats! (Late response, sure, but hey its better than nothing) Good luck on 114 if you haven't already finished it. Out of curiosity, how many videos did 104 end up needing, since its a 10-minute limit on YouTube?

The limit has been raised to 15 minutes, and even with that, it took 3 videos. Not to mention, at least an hour of footage was scrapped because I'm not doing 100% fail videos anymore (they're just not entertaining or rewarding.)
