I'm on episode 45 - lvl 4 (skeksis) and by the time I make it down the shaft, 3 out of the 5 seconds I was given are gone, by the time i get near to halfway near a piece of gold time runs out and I die >.>, any..tips? I've had this problem before on the "choose your own" lvl where I would die as soon as I touched the closest gate opener from the time, when its only 1 out of 3 rooms away from any gold (the other path is completely useless, dunno why its even there) making the lvl basically impossible.

I don't think 5 seconds is enough time ... try to get more time in the previous levels. Try to speed through those and get as much gold as possible.

I found that I had about 90 seconds after the third level, I think it was called "inca" from memory. It's a quick level and if you can keep your momentum, you will just get all the gold naturally. That way, you should have plenty of time to complete the last level, which only takes twenty odd seconds anyway.

actually, 'inca' is the 2nd level (i.e. 45-1) but yeah, the other stuff you said is right more or less...
