Ghost Mode.
Ghost mode is that you place a demo in (The fastest AGD demo of a map for example) and like a normel demo it will play for you. but now you can play normel at the same time. So you would see a grey N (the Demo) and a black N (the normel N, unless you have a different colour).
This is usefull the try to be faster and break a highscore or speedrun.
Ok what do we now with this:
the Ghost N can go through doors, switches, lasers, drones etc. the ghost will only play the demo without affecting the normel gameplay. Enemies should ignore the ghost N. and when the ghost N dies you should get any kind of a notice.

It'd also save time for some harder puzzles you want to figure out, and you can just do it directly on your first or second try, instead of watching the demo first, and then redoing it with probably just a vague idea of what to do.
I support this idea.

How do you know that God didn't intend for humans to be the animals' caretakers? He might be appalled that He gave us these animals to use and we're fucking eating them. - Tsukatu

Well I don't know how hard it is to implent it but, what if the ghost doesn't trigger the doors but door straight through them. Like a real ghost! well "reall."

If the ghost doesn't interact with anything, how is it an accurate representation of a demo?b3njamin wrote:George wrote:As appealing an idea it may be, it'll ultimately fail because you wouldn't want the ghost to be triggering doors or enemies. It's not feasible enough to implement.

But on further thought, I guess in some aspects, it wouldn't work. Cause what happens when there's a seeker drone, or any enemy apart from mines, which would it shoot at?
I still think that the ghost drone could just go do it's thing, without affecting the objects. And when it does have something to do with it, it does so invisibly?

Well, if you compare it to a ghost of a racing game, it would be the equivalent of loading another semi-transparent version of the level of the top of the version you are playing. It would lag a lot. Only people with super fast computers and/or levels with almost no objects would play smoothly.Geti wrote:i think there should be a ghost set of objects, so the ghost enemies attack the ghost ninja, and show where he died if he did, but the ghost should not interfere with anything in your playspace, as that makes it redundant. its like the "ghost car" in more racing games, this would be for improving your time on maps.

And when the ghost N dies there should be some sort of a notice.
