I want to start making levels, but the editor is being problematic...at this point all I can do are tiles...the key to access the object editor does not exist on a macbook pro. I'd appreciate any information on the subject.

At the moment, and for the foreseeable future you're going to have to use an external keyboard as far as I can tell. I too am labouring under this hardship... : (

Works fine for me. fn+. for tiles, and fn+m for objects.

It worked when I tried to do launchpads on my computer, because of some letters in my keyboard (traditional language:İ,Ü,Ö,Ç).
I changed my keyboard languaga from my computer options, and it worked very well. I just returned to my old keyboard again, after it.

I think you might need NUM LOCK, which is activated by Fn+F6.
