Being able to draw your own tiles?

i feel that the there could be more to the amount of tiles we are given, such as the ones in the DS version of N which those are kinda fun to play with and create with. i wouldnt mind seeing those in some kind of version of N (its hard to see the tiles on such a small screen) but as far as creating ones own tiles i dont think its a good idea. it gives to much freedom and as some have said its good to have some limits, it gives me as a user a challange to create a new way of looking at the map.
