Ned Glitch

Can anyone help me with this? Sometimes, when I create a level, when I take the Data and paste it into a notepad file, I load the map up again, and one or several of the map elements have somehow gotten stuck at the very top of the map. They cannot be deleted when this happens, and is sometimes very frustrating. If this is not a unique problem, or even if it is, Could anyone Identify the problem and tell me how to fix it?

Thanks.

This is called an NaN, or Not a Number.
To remove these, simply have it in Notepad, go to Edit, Find, and type "NaN" (without quotation marks.)
Delete the NaNs that it finds, and it should work.

Also, welcome to the forums. :)

So That will get rid of the things stuck on top, right? so then All I'll have to do is Go back into Ned and Put said elements back into their places?

What your problem is is that you're not clicking out of the text box when you press "L" to load the map. This messes up the code of the last object.

Well actually, It happens when I put the code into userlevels.txt and load it in N in the User Levels menu. Is it possible that it happens when I paste the Data into the text file? I usually don't save to a text file and pick it up later, I usually make it all in one sitting.

Also, there are more NaN's Than I expected to see. Are some NaN's Integral to map function or are they all glitches?

No, I don't see the problem with that. NUMA automatically formats the map data with Title, Author, etc. to be displayed in the userlevels if it's placed in the text. When copying the text, try to use "Ctrl-A" and paste; if you are not already doing it. If you are using Notepad, turn wordwrap off. Double space between each map, and see if your problem fixes!

And Nan's are taken advantadge of by some mappers who are trying to place a stationary drone, or for a few less known glitches. So yes, the effect map function, but they should only show up if you mean to change it, or if you made a mistake transfering the map data.

Hey,

I got the same Problem but it isn't work.
I Copy the Mapcode into the upper Textbox, make a klick out of the textbox.
Now I press "L" for load, then the map is loaded perfect withouth any bugs.
Then i klick into the upper textbox an press "Ctrl"+"A" then "Ctrl"+"C" after i go to the userlevels.txt file an Remove the mapcode an press "Ctrl"+"V" to paste.
After this I save and close the File, I also make an N restart, then I load the created or revised Map. But there's still one Rocket or gaus turret .... on the Top of the map.

Can someone help ?
Do I make something wrong ?

Thanks
Greez
