Was he really the first one who came up with it? That is not even that important. The real question should be: Why does anyone give a crap about who made it? It is a pretty simple tree, that easily could have been conjured by more than one person. It is by no means copying. So why do I feel so dirty when using an atob tree? How did it even start? Who started calling them atob tree's? Has it ever happened with any other tile combination? These are things I would like to know.

The simple solution is just to make a cooler tree. It's by no means a difficult task.

This argument actually fell a couple of months ago. The tree thing is old now.

don't feel guilty, it's not his tree. And lets be honest, what other tiles would work better at crafting a tree that size? none. (except maybe if you made namek trees!)

Ganteka came up with some pretty sexy trees, forget which map. They were kinda huge though. But still simple.
Another shape like that is the triangle, I don't even remember who is famous for that though. You know, two "2" or "3" tiles?
But yeah. Bottom line: make something better, so that we can all be lazy and copy you.
