hell, if we never get NUMA back we can say goodbye to A LOT of maps. that's actually a very disheartening prospect

How do you import your maps? Really quite confused on that.
I used to be pretty good, back in 08.

Don't quote me on this, but I don't think the import feature is working. But you can get a copy of all your NUMA maps for when it is ready. http://nads.dustri.es/Bunniesandsheep wrote:How do you import your maps? Really quite confused on that.

What, am I missing something obvious on the site? :Ocenterƒire wrote:Woah.Bunniesandsheep wrote:How do you import your maps? Really quite confused on that.
Well, thanks Aidiera, I'll be using that pretty soon.
I'm not entirely up with the technicalities of this, but is it technically possible/worth the time to write a wget script or something to scrape numa's maps?

It's been done. All the maps are on NADS.Bunniesandsheep wrote:I'm not entirely up with the technicalities of this, but is it technically possible/worth the time to write a wget script or something to scrape numa's maps?

NUMA is deprecated and will eventually be taken down.ENT474 wrote:Now that NUMA is back up, will NARC stop? I like the simplistic design, but I think that everybody will continue to use NUMA.

I'm Arachnid, and I support this message.otters wrote:NUMA is deprecated and will eventually be taken down.ENT474 wrote:Now that NUMA is back up, will NARC stop? I like the simplistic design, but I think that everybody will continue to use NUMA.
otters is doing a good job with narc. I won't be taking NUMA down immediately, but I'll be putting up a deprecation message and suggesting people use NARC. They'll still be welcome to use NUMA, of course, but I'd like to see the community move to NARC, and I'll do what I can to smooth that transition.
In the longer run, I've been talking with M&R about archiving NUMA entirely, probably concurrent with the release of N v2. It won't be possible to submit new maps, but rest assured the existing archive will remain online and accessible in some format.
