Welcome to the NUMA featured maps queue. Reviewers, at least two reviews per month, please. (I would suggest plugging your review into Word at the very least, or possibly going on IRC and asking someone to read it before you post. This will prevent people from laughing at you afterward, which seems to be happening a lot lately.)

Creature Feature dates are being discontinued, but I think the thread still has a passel of reviews lying around if you don't have time to write one on your queue day.

No new features until the 1st of January. We need to build up a reserve.

I'll make an official announcement on NUMA in the next hour.

EDIT: GTM, I wish you would wait for confirmation of these things... ;_;

It never said anything about prior to 2009, so I assumed it was up for grabs. :/

Oh well, I didnt want this review to stay up forever, just a reminder to NUMA of a great and inspiring map.

I should have been clearer.

I'll leave the announcement until tomorrow.

Because you haven't submitted a review over a month. I guess if you want your position back you have to submit two new reviews and go the pace atob want's you to go in after those two reviews.

Nono, they can just ask for it back as long as they commit to being active. I'll add that to the OP.

Come on guys! We need to fill up at least the first seven days before this thing begins, and we all need to commit.

questions:

if I were to apply for the reviewer position, how often would I need to submit reviews?

is there a list of upcoming features to be able to tell how long until your review will be posted?

how do you submit a review?

are there any rules about the map you feature?

Perhaps it'd do you much good to read the first post...

When you are a reviewer, there is a button in the top right corner of a map that lets you write a review on it.

And uh.... it has to be good? Really really good?

no, as in, you can't review your own maps, or any you helped create, etc. those types of rules. any others?

The system won't let you review your own, and you wouldn't be allowed to anyway.

You shouldn't review maps you've had a hand in.

You shouldn't review a friends map just because they're you're friend.

etc..

It's all rather obvious stuff.

Also, you shouldn't review a map that is up for any Dronies nominations, or a part of a Dronie nomination.

I've had to deal with this rule for quite a while. I'll be happy when they are officially over because then I can write up my review and not care about subliminal advertising.

I'll take the 2nd, as I have plans for the 1st and cannot commit.

All reviewers have been notified via NUMA of this thread. Any reviewers who don't check in by the first risk losing their reviewer status.

What was wrong with the old homemade queue?

I culled the reviewer roster and edited the requirements. A fresh thread was needed to give this thing a kick start.

I submitted a review before the designated period because I was over-eager to review; surely this shows that I want to maintain my position? :P

I wouldnt want to submit another so soon, so for now I would like to retain my reviewer status without having to submit a fresh one.

Thanks for the warning :P

I'm going to try to keep up with the 2 reviews/month, so put me down for the 11th. I might also be able to take the 17th or 18th, but that's during exams, so we'll see.

Edit: Phew, found something to feature. Thanks, favorites! I may have to move that date forward.
