I'm getting annoyed with people constantly commenting maps I made over 3 years ago with things like "this isn't up to your normal standard" or "you can do better than this".
Some people tend to ignore the map submit date completely, so what I suggest is adding a lil' red line of text somewhere in the map's description of maps that are over a year old saying "This map is over a year old".
Hi.

Does it really affect you that much? You would think that after making over 1000 maps, you'd be big enough to let it slide. Obviously the maps aren't as good as your new maps, and so people have a right to say so. This feature would really do nothing, as comments would change from "this isn't up to your normal standard" to "this wasn't up to your current standard."

Personally, i'd be more annoyed by little red lines of text than by silly comments.

At the risk of seeming like every time you come back here everyone's on your back, this really isn't needed. One year is sorta an arbitrary boundary in any case - making those comments on an 11-month-old map would still cause the same problems. You'd really just have to ignore that, I figure.

You should take it as a compliment that people are posting on your '05 maps. If one user does it repeatedly, post on his map telling him to shut up. If it's multiple people, just be happy your work has that many fans.

I agree. Comments are comments, and it shows that people are sifting through your archive and playing your older maps as well as your newer ones.

I get at least 4 comments a week on old maps commenting on how I could've done better as they've seen better maps from me. It's annoying that I have to waste my time reading these comments as they clearly can't read dates.

Adding to this with a slightly off-topic point: Why since earlier today is NUMA saying I have "-1 maps with unread comments"?

Happens to me too. I tend to ignore comments about quality of my mapping unless the author has a proven ability with NED themselves. As the type of comments in question tend to be from newer or relatively unknown users, I don't see much value in regarding them with any kind of worry.

*atob hopes this doesn't descend into another people versus amlt thread...*

Known bug. People might be on it? It'll be fixed in time.

I wonder what you mean by in time. I've had the "1 maps with unread comments" for months now. ;)

/me begins leaving comments on every AMLT map saying, "This isn't up to your future standard."
