It really was only cool the same way a plane crash is cool. It was so horrific that it achieved a sort of morbid fascination. For instance, one of the users posted "black people scare me" about twenty times. A big kudos should go to Laurie for contacting atob and providing him with a list of maps effected. I was there and aware too, but I had no idea the extent of the damage.

So yeah. Kudos, Laurie!

I stopped after I realized it had gotten way out of hand. But I guess I have to serve my time.

Actually, the site doesn't tell you have many new comments you have, it tells you how many maps with new comments you have. So 500 comments on one map would ironically show as "1 map with new comments".

PALEMOON got over 500 on one map for a few glorious moments.

This will certainly be an event to remember for generations to come.

Perhaps there should be an option that prevents you from positing more than 2 comments in any 5-minute interval for any given map? (or 1 comment per 2 minutes. Short enough to alow you to continue posting epic demoes or correcting typos / ambiguity in a previous post but long enough that spamming a map would get really boring really fast)

Then again, if this is teh first time this has happened, we don't really need to control comments.
