Stepping down as NUMA admin.

Short story: I need to concentrate on real world things for a while. I'm spending far too much time procrastinating in areas that aren't relevant to my progression, and as a result my real world ambitions are slipping. And, as much as I love the community, I'm loosing patience and interest in the management aspects of the site.

I'll remain on the forums as a global for as long as I'm welcome, I find this place to be much more of a boon (decent discussions, good feedback on my projects etc..) than NUMA and hopefully I'll be able to manage my time here along side everything else.

I do think we need another more active Admin to take my place, but please don't PM any of us with requests to take the position, I have some people in mind and I'm sure the other staff know who would be suitable.

I'm going to try to stay away from mapping for a while, too, but I definitely won't go cold turkey. I'm probably nowhere near that disciplined....

I'll stay active for the next few days until we sort a replacement. So feel free to direct requests and reports to me for the duration.

Thanks all. x

Ha. Well, I'm pretty sure there are some people who'll be happy to see me in a less prominent position. I do tend to throw myself about a bit.

I'm still going to be an opinionated git, though. :)

The old me would've agreed, but I'm starting a "don't talk shit if you don't know shit" thing, and lately it's been working well. Also, so what if people do, there will always be one persone who disagrees with another. Goodluck with everything!

I wish you the best, 'tob. And to be honest, I don't think any replacement could do a 'better' job than you at adminning NUMA, and it'll be a tough ask for them to reach your standard. You did the community very proud as a community member taking over a software engineer's position. Thanks.

Good luck with everything atob. I can totally relate to your situation. Things in the real world really need to take priority when they start to become a bit more serious. It's hard trying to stay as active here as you would like to be when there is so much else going on.

I <3 you, Bracks. I'm not going to say "I'll miss you," or anything like that, 'cause we'll still have contact. And we have more than enough Adminnery on the site as-is to cover.

Also, if you need an Interim, I'll take it up until we find someone else. I'm always down to help a brother out.

NUMA will be much more quiet without you... It's good... and bad.

Sorry to see you go.
