would you guys prefer the current submit where you can feature whenever you please that we currently have, or a queue that has a buffer of maps ready to be featured so one map is submitted exactly every 24 hours? I think the queue thing would be better because of currently existing time gaps that range from 10 hours to 48 hours...

I thought the old 24 hour system was much more effective. Sometimes we seem to get features up for several days, followed by three more in the next 24 hours (though this has improved lately.)

The old system was entirely more fair, but on the other hand the old system also had huge stagnant periods when people weren't reviewing maps because they became lazy and figured there were enough maps in the queue. Even so, unless we find some way to fix the old system then we won't have the old queue back anyway.

I actually prefer the system we have now. Our Reviewers review maps more often because they are more involved with their reviews since they have to be on the website the day of their review and submit it the day they agreed to.

I would like to point out that it's not a "feature whenever you please" system we have now. I'm a little surprised and annoyed that you would consider it that.

All of our reviewers are expected to allow a map 18-36 hours on the front page. Sometimes because of life they have to either cut that short or they are not able to make their review until well after the suggested 24 hours. Still, the reason we have the New Featured Maps Queue is because the old system is BROKEN. If you want to fix it, go right ahead.

Like I said before, I actually prefer the current way we are handling reviews. It involves the Reviewers more than the old system did.

The current system isn't by choice. Atob messed up the queue trying to fix it (no harsh feelings), and since then, we've had a makeshift one to work just like the old one. It doesn't work around a "post whenever you feel like it" basis, they try to get it as close as they can without something doing it for them. You can't expect a group of people from all over the world to submit maps that abide by one timezone; they are doing the best they can.

EDIT- aaaaand I should have read pawz's posts before I wrote mine.
