The Monthly Map Contest

Presentation

It's a mapping contest for each month of the years arranged by 5 judges.
Each first day of a month the 5 judges publish a theme of the month, with some rules, some restricted thing,... And the mapper have 2 weeks for make a level in the theme of the month. After this, the judges have the rest of the month for choice the best map !

Rules

- The mappers have to put MMC in the tags levels !
- The mappers can only submitted one map and can't change her map after post it.
- If the rules aren't respected the map is eliminated.
- Mappers have the 1st of the month from the 15th of the month at midnight to post their maps.
- The Judges have to give a rating the 1 from 10, 1/2 points are allowed. the average is making for each maps and the best 3 maps are published on the Monthly Map Contest topic.

The theme and rules for the first month (january) are ready !
We have new a judges (Winter_Red_Snow) so we are 2 and i think 3 or 4 judges are enougth.
If you want to become a judges, just send me a PM !
Become a judge does not require you to stay connected 24h/24h, you just have to rate some levels and suggest idea for the next month.
If you can become judge just for one or two month is not a problem ;)

Hi all, here today begin the first MMC !
Pleaze read all the post and enjoy mapping ;)

Theme: FireWork !

Your level have to include:
- One or somes firework (with mines, golds, rockets,...).

The level can be: Action, Puzzle or Race.
The level can't be: DDA and N art.

You can't use Nreality !

Warning: too many objects break the beauty of a level !

Your level is rated on 20 points, here's the detail:
x/10 : Gameplay
x/5 : Tileset (fit with the theme + ideas)
x/5 : Object (fit with the theme + ideas)

You have to post the numa link of your map here before the 14th of january at midnight.

Dont forget this three rules ;)

I would love this if it weren't so far between maps. Instead of two weeks for mapping and two weeks for judging, couldn't you shorten it to one week each?

Is there still anything going? I'd be pleased to take part in a contest like this, but I need to be sure, that it is carefully+responsibly organised and led.
Please someone take over the lead or ask to open a new thread and close this one instead.
Just make sure that anything happens. It would be sad to give this all up only because it didn't get so much attention at the moment it was launched.
I'll keep a watch on this thread.

First, really sorry for don't have following this contest but has you can see nobody has posted a level for the month of january... So i've thinking that people wasn't interrested.
Recently 2 membres has called me for revive this context with their help and the next and first really monthly contest is for july. Somers rules will probably be changed the concept is going to be the same :)
if you want to be judge pm me, 5 judgse is the limits, we are 3 for the moment: hero, da_guru(probably) and me.
I hope there's going to be a lot of people next month ! ;)
