Red Ball Gameplay Competition

Description - Each round, I will generate 3 random maps, using LittleViking's and Corsix's Level Generators. I will then put random NReality backgrounds (which can be found on this link if you wish to view them before the rounds) on each of them, and upload them onto the N User Map Archive.

Rules - In the description of each map, I will state if it is a Highscore, Speedrun or Underclock map. Depending on which one it is, only scores submitted to NReality in the stated section (Highscore, Speedrun or Underclock) will be counted. (Highscore submissions will be counted for the Underclock map if you haven't unlocked Underclock yet.)

Scoring -
• Highscore - 0th gets 20 points, 1st gets 19 points, etc.
• Speedrun - 0th gets 20 points, 1st gets 19 points, etc.
• Underclocked - For every gold / switch missed = -1 Point (eg. All gold + switches = 20 Points, missed 1 gold but got all switches = 19 Points, All gold but missed 2 switches = 18 Points, etc.)
After each round, I will tally up all categories as seen in round 1 scores.

Rounds - There will be 10 rounds in total.

Winning - Player with the most points after all rounds wins.

1st Place -
• Dedication Map (Don't expect anything too good, I'm not the best mapper. I'll probably use something from the generators to add to the feel.)
• 3 Maps of yours I will rate, comment, and hopefully enjoy. (3 latest maps)
• Userbar (Pre-made, goes to all places.)
2nd Place -
• 3 Map of yours I will rate, comment and hopefully enjoy. (3 latest maps)

Deadline - Each player will have to submit a score within exactly roughly 10 days of creation going by Greenwich Mean Time. After this deadline, I will remove the exit from the map so that no more scores can be posted.

Problem with that is NReality doesn't let you play maps in NARC, which is the method for submitting scores. So NUMA it is.

Got my runs in for round one this morning. The background on the speedrun map really threw me at first, but only took a couple runs to get used to it. Liking this so far, hopefully the future rounds will hold up too.

I did not realise that the scores would be tallied across all three categories. Judging by how other people made their demos, I'd say this assumption was common. You didn't say beforehand how the total score would be calculated, and I guess that many of us thought that there were three separate competitions here.

Also, I did not put down a demo in the underclock competition because I have not yet unlocked underclock. I did, however, make a simple demo on the map in the normal highscore mode. It's far slower than the others, but I believe it should be counted. I did not forget about the map, nor choose not to play it; I just couldn't do it in the underclock mode. So please, don't penalise me for that ^_^

Crap, I wanted to do sr and uc too, but i noticed this competition yesterday, and when i finished doing my hs demo NUMA was already down.
Also, adding up all 3 results? Seriously? So you cant just compete in hs or something like that, you should have said that before. Anyway I'll keep playing the comp, im bored and want competition.
