Bit of a random question, but what (and when) was Last_FairyTail's peak 0th and top-20 count? I'm guessing it was sometime during 2011. Just cleaning up a few Wiki pages out of boredom. I'm sure I could find out using that Excel spreadsheet (or NHigh) records, but I'm hoping someone has an easier solution.

Which heavily suggests he peaked at 8 0ths on mid November 2011. In 2012 he keeps dropping. The 0ths he held at his peak were the following ones:

Who is this Donald_J_Trump? He/She got a few impressive scores recently (see http://ploudseeker.com:5000/new ). At first I thought it was a hacker that should be removed from the board because tying 00-0's 0th is not something you would expect from a new player, but the run looks legit.

Indeed, they all look legit. I'd say it's a veteran, I woudn't expect this kind of game in 2018 but I like it hah.

I'm dissapointed he's not using NReality though, that's necessarily going to raise suspicion, because of course, you could just slow down the game and cheat in a reasonable manner, avoiding frame-perfect chimneys, tricks and reflexes to avoid the run looking suspicious. For instance, just to deliberately try to find something suspicious and being picky, what do you think about his final ascent in 00-2, the way he remains so close to the thwump? Seems maybe too daring and unnecesary in real time?

If DJT is actually a cheater, he's hiding it very well. More to the point, why would you bother? Additionally, he went from 252.850 to 252.975 to 253.000 on 00-0. The run looks plasible, and multiple improvements like that are a good sign of legitimacy. I don't suppose anyone has the demos for previous runs? I'd like run some comparisons for science.

I've done a visual comparison (i.e., haven't looked into keypresses) between all three submitted runs. They are all different in terms of exection. This isn't an exoneration, of course, but it does mean that he didn't just tweak his run MBD style by dupplicating part(s) of his run. I will say, though, that it's impressive that he was able to do those ceiling jumps down the bottom. It's definitely plausible, though, if he grinded the level for hours (which the timestamps hint at).

I took 0th on 06-0 by a frame. I was really surprised the old 0th didn't already do the faster start method that several highscore runs, the speedrun 0th, and the episode 0th all use.

Wow! Xando from the wild blue yonder! How many Metanet 0ths do you have? When was the last new Metanet 0th? This 0th looks surpsingly suboptimal. I think Eddy can make a couple of improvements and breach 174 with an ultra-clean run. My tip for his next run is 173.925.

I took 0th on 06-0 by a frame. I was really surprised the old 0th didn't already do the faster start method that several highscore runs, the speedrun 0th, and the episode 0th all use.

That's because all those runs are more recent than my (ex-)0th. When I took it in 2012, the hs 0th was xela's 2008 run, the sr 0th was kryx's 2009 run, and the ep 0th was eru's 2010 run, neither of which use it. In fact, I have checked many other highscore runs and I haven't found one earlier than my ex-0th which uses it :P You can see that a few runs appear in sr mode in July 2012 which use it (jp, OJ and Kool), and my ep 0th from November 2012 already uses it, which suggests to me that this beginning appeared there, after my level 0th. I even have a faint memory of it.

But anyway, nice job cleaning this one, I really like this level ;) 174 is definitely possible. Answering ska, I'd enjoy going back to v1.4 and taking some 0ths, but switching between games is a pain because you have to rewire your muscle memory to the new physics, which means that it's not worth it to go back and forth, only long term switches make sense, because I'd have to spend several sub-optimal days until I was at top level again. Which is not to say I'll never do it again, I might do it at some point when I'm satisfied with what I've done in N++ (it probably will happen eventually, but also probably not soon).

Also I agree there's a ton of frames left. I've been busy, but I'd still like to go back and try to get 174 myself. I'm really not that happy with the run I got, despite being 0th. As for how many 0ths I have, this is my first untied 0th in 1.4, and I have a few top 20s (I think less than 10). I'd like to see if I can get any other 0ths though. This one was fun!

Yeah, I didn't recall you submitting much to the highscore boards. It's good to see you around! I also completely understand what Eddy's saying. You can go from trash to competent fairly quickly, but getting to that final level of cleanliness needed to take a 0th usually takes a bit of a grind.
