Hendor has been putting a lot of work in to the 60s Ep 0ths; he only needs 64, 67, and 69 for Episode column domination. Sadly he isn't playing NReality which sucks, hopefully he will read this and start using it. Fenneth comes back to highscoring with 71-4 and he beat Gutland's Metanet 0th on 19-2, however Gutland has a higher score on NReality (159.350), which must have been submitted when the Metanet boards were down, so that is why he wasn't credited with that 0th :\ Vankusss is creeping up on Lim in the 0th rankings w/o ep 0ths.

Wow, haven't lurked this area of the internet for a while... nice to see there's still an active highscoring community for this game, and so many familiar faces are still here.. I see so many innovations since i was last here *warm grin*. I also see that tool assisted demo's, with FBF / underclocking, and even MDB are more of an accepted part of the community, which is cool. I think that tool assisted demos were always an accepted part of community as long as they weren't submitted to the metanet servers :). And perfect chimneying IS possible for human, as Kool showed, but nobody still did it in a middle of a run.

I don't think there is any point to aim especially for your 0th's at this point (since we have to ignore all of your runs :( ).

And no, total game score isn't the main competition nowadays. Well there aren't many active highscorers as well, too. There is mostly me, Hendor came back few weeks ago and taking only episode 0ths, Fenneth is starting to be active, Izzy takes sometimes something and xaelar drops out of shadows like once in 2 weeks. So there aren't enough people to be competing for total game score.

With NReality we can see it easily (Its harder to share a .sol file because lot of people have many ones) :

Considering that total game level 0ths should be around 71k500, it's quite impossible to compete with xaelar^^, except with his awful 96-4 :P

Glad to see you stop by, if you ever feel like starting up highscoring again go download NReality and take some 0ths. We always want the players from back in the day to jump in to the competition.

Yeah, I agree that is much better now that people see they have a use in possibly making new routes and finding the true fastest possible way to complete a map. I remember that Knu was censured by some back in the day when he posted his FBFed runs. Today though, as long as they aren't submitted to the highscore boards they are encouraged. I have spoken with Unreality about possible adding TASing to underclock so there would be a boards for anyone who wants to compete on that level. Hopefully that will happen someday.

Well I still grab the community total level score as you can see in each one of my highscore rankings posts. This is just the sum of all of the legit 0th scores minus 36000 for all of the extra 90 seconds. However individual total level scores are hard to calculate these days because NReality changed everyones .sols so you cant check with Nhigh and the rankings done by NReality on n.Infunity.com are off because of runs that players could not submit, or slower runs that were done on NReality that overwrite their faster v1.4 times.

I have been trying to rectify this by slowly going through and manually getting the demos for every top-20 run that isn't on the NReality servers and submitting them and then these scores will be used in a new highscore board. This however is taking more time than I thought, but hopefully I will finish it soon.

Just a notice on your vid. That isn't the perfect 20/sec chimneying^^
I got 112 on my first try which makes only 11-12 clicks per second, using the same technique like always.

Yeah I got 107 first try with much slippage off the "click here" button. Clicking is easier than button pushing anyhow.

In other news, eru_bahagon submitted a bunch of new top-20s tying LAT for 0th in top-20s. xaelar and vankusss trade and retrade 0ths on 17-2, 93-4, and 98-2 with three vankusss innovations. Hendor keeps climbing up the boards, now tied for 8th with marcrohenry. And last but not least the community is only 1.425 seconds away from 71,700.000 total level score; getting ever closer to 20 hours.

On a seperate note, I need to start playing again to keep myself above j_f in top-20 rankings. Too busy with finals and senior research and music recitals and Assassin's Creed 2 (on my roommate's Xbox, so I only have a couple weeks left to beat it) to do any serious highscoring.

And well, i've played a lot this w-e to get back many top 20's and to improve my total game score by about 15 seconds -over 6'' on 85-2- (improve my 10-0 and 20-0 was really useless in that way^^). I still have to find 117 seconds^^

LAT is hard to beat -despite his inactivity-, i've lost 2-3 and 3-0 because of a hacker yesterday :/. Metanat's boards need to be clean, episode 00 to 02 are just impossible.

Kind of a slow Highscoring week. Ska started the week off with 67-0 which he later improved. Hendor laid down a speedy 91-1 and that rounded off the week's changes in level 0ths. Eru_bahagon took 0th overall in the top-20 rankings with 16th place on 73-3.

EDIT: van just had to get a 0th while I was posting.
EDIT2: Updated the top-20 rankings because of van's new 0th which bumped eru off the top-20 making him tied again with LAT.
