If you needed voice, that means that the channel was muted. Which means some op had muted it, they will always unmute it in a short while, just wait.

For some reason I can not connect to IRC. I have both mIRC and Chatzilla. I tried both. when I do /server irc.mountai.net i can connect, but then when i try and join a channel with /join #n, #n-highscores, #music, #mapping, none of them work. I enter the command but then nothing happens with both mIRC and Chatzilla. Any help would be appreciated.

I play and go on Highscores, more for the people on it then playing, everyone on there is so nice and its great to just get opinions and such in everyday life things and on map ideas.

Former Owner of Episode 169, way back when.
I've taken 10 Metanet 0ths. 6 of them lasted <2 days. I don't have any of them anymore. >:(
Third Place in BLUR 4 highscore.
Not highscoring anymore until v2.

Edit: I'll elaborate. I go to mibbit.com and click "Start chatting now". I log in as 999_Springs. I click the "server" tab and enter "irc.mountai.net". The "nick" field already has "999_Springs" in it. I type in "#N-highscores" in the "chat" field. I click on "Go". A new tab opens, headed "irc.mountai.net", and at the top of the screen there is a box which says "Please pick a new nick:" like you can see in the attachment. I click on the tab "irc.mountai.net", type in "/server irc.mountai.net", press Enter, type in "/join #N-highscores", and the only thing that comes up on the screen is the one-line message you see in the attachment displayed twice. Nothing else.
Also, I searched for "N-highscores" in the "Browse IRC networks" box and nothing comes up that is remotely related to #N-highscores. Is that normal?

Here is how you should get in to IRC.
1) Go to http://www.mric.com
2) Click on Download mIRC
3) I am pretty sure that you know how to download a program and run it.
4) Open mIRC
5) In the command bar type /server irc.mountai.net
6) In the window that pops up upon entering that command make up a name and email address, niether has to be real.
7) Then type "Username" in to the Nickname box. (replace "username" with you desired nickname for irc.)
8) hit connect
9) In the new window that pops up type in #n-highscores, and hit enter.
10) you should be all set if not, go to step eleven.
