Great innovation at the start. So simple yet extremely effective like seemingly all of your innovations and route changes are. As far as "beating the top right drone" you are talking about when you are coming back up the right side correct? Do you really think it is possible to beat it? If you go fast enough to make it over the FG and under that drone won't the drone that is following it get you on the fall down to the exit switch?

You'll need to add another jump after the FG to avoid the drones, but it should still end up being quicker. Although watching against my demo it looks like you'd need to save around a second to beat it, I'm not sure whether it will be possible without another innovation:

Ah, I get ya. That will be tough. I think the run to just laid down is pretty solid. The ending could be cleaned up a bit and that is probably what makes you vulnerable, but it won't be easy for Eddy and Macro to snatch this one from you. You also took down one of Macro's oldest and best 0ths, and it is now and NReality 0th which is great. Nice work.

Woah. Macro knows that his run on this is one of my absolute favourites to watch, so this is an awesome breakthrough. Too bad that in the future, somebody will take this 0th off you. ;)

There is. I did this a long time ago in an attempt to preserve the non-NReality 0ths. I extracted the demo data and uploaded to Unreality's service as non-legit runs. However for the life of me I can not find where on my C: these demo are. And since you have since submitted scores for Ep92 it overwrote that score with your legit score. I am not sure if NReality server keeps history of scores. I no longer have access to the database, but maybe sidke can see.

This is exactly what I did/got help with when I collected those demos. I just used the demo analyzer, but changed the code so that it just returned the Demo rather than converting to that text string.

I think I can see where the confusion came from... from a confusion of my own. The dates when I became the grandmaster were messed up, and to be honest I forgot so I had to check the NHigh I downloaded that day to verify. The real day was the 12th of April, 2012. My sig says the 4th, which is what ska probably used... and the Wiki says the 14th lol. I'll correct both now.

I also messed up the date of my first Metanet 0th haha, the real date is the 4th of October, 2010. Both my sig and the Wiki say the 31st, I have no clue why o.O

Glad we've got this all cleared up. I went by the grandmaster wiki page instead of Eddy's wiki page. On another note, its also exactly 6 months until Eddy becomes the person with the longest total time at Grandmaster, since xela had a couple different times at the position.

It is always sad to see an old epic 0th fall, but it is always bested by a better run; by definition. The old run was great, but this one is better. Great execution and props to JP again for the route.

I am not so sure. I was able to tie Raif's MBD with my own using that route. It would be faster, but I couldn't get all of the gold on the right block with out returning to it on the left side to jump again. Maybe it is possible to get one of those two gold on the way up, but I have this feeling that Raif and I already discussed this. My ending isn't perfectly optimized. It may be possible to jump for less time when going to switch and make that turn back to the door faster, but only by a frame or two. So in the end maybe the route is faster by a frame or two, and more if it is possible to get the gold with out a second jump.

Yeah, me too. I never quite understood why macro was so far ahead. You, van and myself are within 1 frame of each other and then macro was 20 frames ahead with what seemed like the same route.

As to ska's 16-3 route, I think it's faster. The perp jump to the finish saves some frames I believe. Here's a AGD-1 I got with ska's route that's faster than macro. No demo I'm afraid.

I was going to show a demo of getting .950+ with the same missed gold (think I got .050 on one run by jumping off the curved part of the tile in the center-most island), but now I'm not even sure if it's possible to it one jump... I thought I did, but now I'm not sure if it was in my imagination. (The future cannot lie!)

@Hendor: macro wasn't using the exact same route though, he was beating the drones on the top right corner of the map, basically passing through that mess a step earlier.

bloody hell ska. this is the fucking exact same innovation i posted here five years ago and i was completely shot down by therealone saying that this was impossible and got largely ignored.

unfortunately it appears that every single forum attachment posted here that ends in .png that was posted before a certain date is no longer available (as well as like a half of all .jpg's and a bunch of other images posted ages back), but if you scroll a few posts down you'll find a bunch of demos which prove that i had the same idea but was unbelievably crap at pulling it off.

i used to have a top20 by following that route with an extra jump to get the missed gold shown in hendor's pic, but i had to change it to stop it from falling off the top20 boards a few years later, so ignore the bit where i talk about that in the post.
