Come to think of it; I think I have seen this before. Anyway, nice party trick.xaelar wrote:Well, I rebuilt the situation and with the new level it was pretty easy to redo it.ska wrote:WTF?!
man, you should have recorded that!
EDIT:
Another one:
While I'm here, I took 182-3 with an innovation.

I had to improve my run to stay in the high scores, unfortunately the hounds had to stay caged up this time :(ska wrote:hahaha that's awesome!glib_jase wrote:I got an amusing high score on 29-1. Not a particularly good run, but I have the only high score where the "hounds" get released...

i'd always wondered whether a "hound release" highscore was feasable. Now I know :)glib_jase wrote:I had to improve my run to stay in the high scores, unfortunately the hounds had to stay caged up this time :(ska wrote:hahaha that's awesome!glib_jase wrote:I got an amusing high score on 29-1. 142.175, a more than average run, over 3193 frames.
The first 2/3 were pretty messy, but the last seconds, starting with the drone dodge at frame 28xx, were nearly godlike ;D
I love this level and it still can be improved by much more, several seconds.

03-0 isn't really an innovation, it's just that because the trick is a pain in the @$$ to pull off first try both xaelar and my runs have poor endings because we just wanted a relatively clean finish. In reality 03-0 can probably be improved by about 2 seconds just with a couple of tricks I know of that each save some time. while this would be easy to do in underclock, redoing the trick over and over until you get a perfect ending isn't worth it in real time.
65-3 is effectively just a version of l3x's old route and I doubt that it can be made faster than the route tfk found.
62-3 I believe it was Izzy and I who worked this out on IRC. Since I have the 0th anyways I decided to give up after pulling it off twice and getting myself killed before finishing.
74-1 I just tried it out and man is it insanely easy. I am ashamed not to of thought of it before, truly ashamed :(
Anyways, nice job keeping underclock alive and using it the way it's supposed to be used. I hope to see more of these from you. Also, I may give some more responses to the runs you posted later on.
Edit: Just wanted to mention that if I'm off in any details it's because I was responding purely from memory.

[16:24] <@golfkid> I'm pretty sure I will literally scream if I die on the last column of 78-4 at this point
