Pathetic turnout :/
Palemoon wins, because I said so. His map on NUMA was the inspiration for this theme; hoping he'd turn up and set a good standard I chose ducks to see what else would come up. All I saw was some cheap attempts at selling old beef. Despite me breaking one of the rules found in bufar's first post, I'm sure your blatant abuse of the system will serve as justification.
Either way, I've given him a link to the comp and if he submit's his map as an entry it wins regardless of the circumstances, according to those rules bufar stated in the first post; I think. Isn't there a 3 submissions minimum for a theme?

Okay, here's what we can do. Since BE_nSPIRED entered as a joke, technically we have to wait for one more entry before you can judge. If PALEMOON is that entrant, he is eligible to win.

I would've joined... but I can't come up with anything to fit the theme.

:O
i still want to win.
is that fair to be able to pick a winning map that wasnt submitted in the competition?
thats kind of like saying "this map will win, so dont submit anything else"
i mean, i know my map wasnt fabulous or anything, but at least its an honest submission.

To be fair, it was sidestepping the theme and had nothing to do with frogs. It could be compared with Be_N, except not as obviously blatant.
Also, I looked at Palemoon's map as a guideline; it certainly wouldnt have won if there was a more credible submission, and you certainly would have had a chance had you actually done something around the theme (I'm not saying it was a bad map, I actually liked it a lot).
Basically, if there was another submission that was eligible, I wouldn't have put PALEMOON forward. As there wasnt, I did, to save time on an already stagnating contest.
And I was a bit cranky too. :P
That said, should I post a new theme in this case? I'll wait for bufar before making a decision.

I'm going to come up with a new theme, seeing as the contest is dying completely...
The new theme is... art! Make as artsy a level as possible, whilst still being playable. MUST NOT BE AN N-ART (ie, not object spam)

Well, since you never declared a winner and started a new round, I guess eganic won as the only entrant.

Yeah, I guess we could, for the sake of administration. However, he said he's fine with a new theme, so does that have to change too or can we just get on with it? Also, who should judge the art theme; me or Eganic?

I never said I was okay with it, I just permitted you to do it. You know what they say, "He who leads least leads best," or something along those lines. If eganic wishes to judge he may, so long as he removes his entry. Otherwise, GTM will judge.

Eganic, ironically, wins this round with the most convincing art-scape. Congratulations on your protracted win.
Unless he chooses to judge, in which case gr_8 wins.

i'm totally confused now.
eganic's map was technically better than mine, so i wouldn't mind if he won this round. but please just someone clear it up, cos right now im a bit confused as to whats going on.
thanks.

> The ducks theme went bust and was ignored for the most part.
> Eganic would be allowed to judge the art theme is he wanted to, and took his own submission away.
> Since he didnt and times up, I declared the best map the winner, which is Eganic's.
What's to be confused about?
