I realize that this map was a bit of a flop. If you would like me to change it and re-start the week, I can. I have already planned out all the maps for other weeks and they are all my maps. I have exams coming up and simply do not have the time to make a whole new list of maps. I need you all to let me know if you want me to change the seeding map or if you all can just deal with it for this week, because seeding hardly matters anyway - it's all about the tourney.

Well, I think the seeding map needs to be changed so you don't have all these ranked scores and then a handful of competitors sitting at "DID NOT COMPLETE".

Yeah, a new map might be a good idea. This map seems more like a finals/semi-finals map to me. The seeding map should be the simplest one in the tournament.

I am rather indifferent to changing the map, I do not think this was a good seeding map, but since everyone is playing the same map it shouldn't matter too much. However for this and future maps Please, Please, Please, put the map number at the END of the topic title. I know this is nit-picky, but I think it makes a better playing experience for everyone.

Well in that case it will just have to be in the first post, which is where hippo would have put it anyway, so moot point. But I think that should be added to the "so you wanna start a contest." thread. It aggravates me to no end when contest holders don't do that.

I'd be fine with starting a new seeding week, but I think there definitely should be a bonus for those, who already completed this hard map. I agree with Hendor in that point: it took me damn long to get that demo and I don't want all this time spent on it to be in vain.

Please consider this. I hope we won't have to restart a week in the future again.

Yeah, I guess I'd be fine with redoing the seeding week as long as the time I spent on this map isn't completely wasted. Other than that though, do what you want because its your competition.

I agree. Perhaps you could combine people's rank on this map with another seeding map. There may be a need for a tiebreaker of some sort because of this, but this way the time spent by people on this map hasn't been in vain.

Bonuses? Nah, don't over complicate things. If you change it, so be it and we'll move on. I'm fine with that. Just please don't let it happen again (Keep in mind I have subbed a run on the current map). If not and we keep this map, that still seems reasonable to me. All that means is people will have to do a little less complaining and a little more map-playing ;) :P (because ;P just doesn't work as a facial expression)

I've just submitted my 1st place run - that I got last Saturday - less than 20 minutes from the deadline. (GRRR, Hendor, you submitted your demo six minutes before me so I don't have the star! GRRRRRRRRRR!)

I'd also like our efforts on this map to be credited to some extent, but what I think is more important is to start the actual knockout competition soon enough. With so many people in the competition it's hard to keep them all interested for a long period of time so you might find yourself with quite a lot of people dropping out if this drags on for too long.

I am not sure how you are handling the non-completions, but I will take a high seed, I am still in this. I just had finals all last week until yesterday so I didn't have much time to make a good run, but I am summer break now so I will be ready to go for the next round.
