The total level score is the sum of all your level scores. Equivalently, your total episode score is the sum of all your episode scores. If you've submitted all your scores with NReality, you can check your total level score by going to http://n.infunity.com/lv_score.php?name=yourname and scrolling to the bottom, to the "Episode 0-99 total score" line. The same applies to total episode score by visiting http://n.infunity.com/ep_score.php?name=yourname instead. If you haven't used NReality, you should, but you can use NHigh to determine your total game scores anyways. Just open it and click "Online scores -> Player's total score" and type your name. Again, you must have submitted all your scores for this to work.

Hey guys, this is a thread I always loved from the old forums, but for some reason nobody thought on creating it here, and we've probably missed a lot of fun because of that, I remember this thread used to encourage a lot of competition from a wide range of players, not only pro players but esentially everybody, because it's more about overall dedication rather than specific one, and helps develop your skill too. I'm pinning this thread as in the old forums, to separate it from the bunch. I know this might seem too optimistic because the community seems to have been perishing for years now, but I had to create this.

I thought about creating it long ago, but I thought it was already too late. It is for me and many others to fully enjoy it, however new players and established ones as well can probably benefit from this thread and have some fun and competition. I'd love to see some action here, so I'll be mantaining the leaderboards in this first post, which I'll update with many players regularly, as many as possible, anyone who posts his times in this thread will get his name up here if its not already there, so this will be a long list, not just a top20. This way everyone can see themselves escalate the boards, I know for a fact (my own experience), that's pretty encouraging and also much more fun.

The philosophy is that you post your progress here from time to time, every time you reach an interesting milestone for instance, or a big gain you got some day, or that you passed somebody, or just periodically if you want. This is also the place to battle in total score against other people close in total score, compete against each other, live battles are kinda fun too.

Disclaimer: The list is probably incomplete, as I can't know the name of people who never had a highscore, unless they tell me specifically. So if you're not here, tell me and I'll add you.

Well, I gained 1900 TLS since last december, however I still need 1500 ish to reach the mythical 70k barrier. I'll have to man up and improve my scores on those terrifying last 3 columns. During this last month of running eps (to try and keep up with lifdoff's amazing top20-tsunami), I've also passed 5 ppl on TES, so yay for that :) Is there also a certain mythical TES score barrier?

Wow, I just realised how super high your TLS is inn! Looks like 34k is mythical for episode run? Same kind of people are above 34k

This thread's a great idea. I did some little competition on TLS with XandoToaster, maybe I'll do more in the future.

I've noticed your progress inn, getting to 70k would be pretty awesome. With episodes there hasn't historically been a famous "barrier", although as shomman says, 34k, 35k and 36k would be the equivalent to 70k, 71k and 72k. (A total episode score of 34k means that you have a total level score of 70k inside your episode runs, if that makes any sense, this is because at the start of each level you have 90 seconds which you don't in the episodes except for the first level, hence, the total level score is at least 36000 seconds higher than the total episode score.

So esentially 34k is like 70k inside the episodes, 35k is equivalent to 71k in the episodes, and 36k would be the equivalent to 72k.

I've added you guys (shom and toaster) to the list, this is temporary though, I'm coding a function to give a much more complete list of players so I can give a more accurate list, so this list will probably increase a lot once I do it. Esentially I'll check the total score of anyone who's ever had a top20, and maybe restrict to the top100, or so.

Thanks for doing this. The wiki page pertaining to the Total Game Score has been updated, including the introductory text. http://n.wikia.com/wiki/Total_Game_Score

May I suggest adding the Total Community Score for completion's sake? Also, it might be a good idea to update this monthly. It would probably be wise to archive each ranking in a spoiler section or something, so that active players (or curious fans) can track progress more accurately.

@ska: Thanks man, I think keeping a copy here would reach the post limit pretty quickly given how long of a post it is (it'll be more, once I finish what I'm working in), so I'll probably be archiving them in pastebin or something like that. Maybe as an attachment too, although that's not very reliable here...

So guys I'll update the list asap, probably tomorrow. I've analyzed all NHigh files we have and so far there're 2150 players who ever appeared on the boards at some point (currently I was only using about 120 players, I know I was missing some important scores though so when I update it there'll be changes in the top50 surely).

I've also analyzed the NReality boards from 2007 until now (about 6 snapshots, those I could find in thewaybackmachine), that adds 362 new players. I was missing some important scores here, like sayko who has a 63k TLS. Tomorrow Ill add the speedrun and underclock boards in case some relevant people only appear there, although I doubt it. Unfortunately that doesn't assure I'll find all relevant players, but that's the best I can do without knowing the names explicitly. And then, elaborate the rankings and post them here, I might post the top100, or the +10k scores for instance.

I've updated the list with pretty much every highscorer since 2006. I was indeed missing many important players, you can see very relevant changes in the top100, as an example, jp who used to be in place 54 is now in place 84. It's very likely that this is pretty much of perfect accuracy, although of course I might be missing players with decent total scores who never had a top20 score.

Another minor milestone for me, 71.3k! Inspired by lifdoff's new run on 97-4, I knew there was a lot of room for improvement; as it turns out there was 1.475 room left. Another 6+ year old run improved on :)

You're right that it is unfortunate that this is only an estimate, since obviously some players—even if they submitted all their scores—won't necessarily have all of them logged. Quite honestly, I don't think there is any harm in keeping all of the players there, even if some estimates are much more accurate than others. Not only does it preserve history, but it also gives people who are relatively new to the highscoring scene a chance to track their progress against these players, and to give them something to strive for.
