#N-highscores is the official channel for highscoring, and cassually playing teh game we know and love. We have quite a few regulars, and not so regulars of the channel already including: xaelar, Izzy,kryX, lord_day, TFK, me, and others. I am most always there between 6-11 PST, and there are mods set up int eh channle from around the world, so quite a few hours are covered. Come join us, have fun, and come compete.

If you need help getting into the channel, or into IRC, please don't hesitate to PM me, or any of the global mods/admins. ;)

In the topic we keep a good selection of maps to play, so that if you join while any ops are not there, you still have some competing to do. Highscorers and speedrunners welcome, we have yet to do any underclock runs yet, but still could! Also we have general chats occasionally, and our very own script that picks out random maps based on any tag in NUMA

Ex: !author:cucumber_boy might yield the result: "59-3: Reach for the stars" http://nmaps.net/133374 --> 133374 , giving a link to the map, its ID, and its name.

I tend to stop by occasionally, but i am not much competition, but i might be looking for play testers.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that! We are excellent playtesters, since most of us are more than decent at the game.

No, seriously, compared to the other regulars (specifically xela), I can't say you rule. But you do manage to make some good runs from time to time.

And it is a cool place, when it's not only me/kkstrong/xela, Sockmonkey, and Ozymandias (Sockmonkey's bot) online.

Ozymandias is not Sockmonkey's bot. It is a bot of the server that I assigned to the channel ot help governate.

There are a couple of ways. Here is probably the simplest:

1. Go to http://mibbit.com/
2. Click on the server link next to the first drop-down box
3. Type irc.mountai.net in the Server address field
4. Type a nickname into the nick field
5. Type #n-highscores into the channel field
6. Click on the Go button

There you have it. You should now be in the #n-highscores channel, so start typing!

You should definitely check out the #n channel as well, it is usually quite active.

1) download mIRC at http://www.mirc.com
2) open and type in the text area : /server waypasteleven.net
3) enter n-highscores in the box that opens
4) you should be connected by then.
5) also make sure to join #n by typing : /join #n

#n is the main community channel, there are a few others, including #n-highscores

After I got some help with getting IRC I found myself writing with some pretty good highscorers and playing maps with them.
It's really great fun, I'm online daily between 6pm and 10pm, but if you live in America you have to take off some hours, because I live in Austria.

I'm 12 hours away from Etz. That sucks.

I've also been dropping in from time to time lately...

now that infunity is down we really need to work to keep N from dying out. everyone join #n-highscores ! no matter how skilled you are or how active you are. just join whenever you can. you won't regret it, lol :p

kryX has told me before about IRC, but I'm not really sure what it is. Can anyone tell me?
Anyways, if I can join I will, because it sounds pretty good, and i'm a pretty decent speedrunner myself.

I mainly use Mibbit. it's quite a site. if you use Mibbit, sign up for an account.

dunno about mIRC though, but it's an option.
