Which is easier to obtain, episode or level highscores, in your opinion? This is for highscore and/or speedruns.

Also, if you go for highscores, which do you try for more often, episode or level scores?

I guess I forgot to explain my reasoning behind the question. Yes, it takes more work (5 times as much, since there's five levels) to get an episode highscore, but you don't have to have 5 (almost) perfect runs to get in. Level highscores on the other hand, while you only have to worry about them one at a time, generally have a lot less cushion between the top and bottom scores, meaning you need to be much more precise to get a highscore. So the question becomes: Is it easier to have to do one level amazingly good, or to do 5 levels very good?

For me, someone who has played every level to a ridiculous extent, I would say episode scores are easier to get. But I would much rather go for level highscores because episode scores can be much more tedious get. Especially if you don't get the highscore after doing the whole episode, then you have to do it all over again. Then again, that rarely happens =p

most levels are maxed (or close to), so I think episodes are easier.

For me, episode score are easier to get (i've got a better total episode score than Lim). It depends on people, i don't like to spend hours on the same level.

But when you start highscoring, i'd say it's easier to get a level highscore. I remember, it was pretty difficult for me to find an episode in which I can do 5 "good" runs.

Episode scores are much easier in my opinion. My only v1.4 episode score is episode * where I can still get onto the highscore board while missing ALL THIRTY-SIX pieces of gold on *-0!
Regarding NReality, my *0th level/episode ratio is 13/6, which is much more heavily weighted in favour of episodes.

In most cases episodes are sooo much easier to highscore (0th or top20) than levels.

I think episodes scores are easier but I never bother except occasionally when I have a top-20 in every level of an episode and am in the mood to do the levels again, which is almost never.

Ok, I've now improved it to 17th, so I can tell you that it is possible to highscore Episode 49 while missing all 36 pieces of gold on 49-0. (Watch my demo.)

Now I hope that xaelar, Hendor, Johnny_faneca, Ben_Schultz_11, trib4lmaniac, Seifer, Darkshadow1416, and all the hackers don't read this and throw my score off...
