So in. I have one question, though. Are we making maps from scratch, and we just have to follow the rules?

yup, exactly. The packs give you everything you need for a level.

also, since this is fairly complicated and it's basically my first contest i am running sucessfully, if i missed anything and you want to tell me about it, please PM me. I will answer any questions you may have.

when you post your map and list it here in this thread, please list what packs you had to use. It makes it fun to see what other players had to do :)

Heh, this sounds like a spin-off of the Paradigm Shift contest, but in any case I'd like to join.

To be clear, the items you get in a card MUST be used and you must use no more, no less than the ammount specified (unless another card allows you to do so), right?

And will there be different "types" of cards? For example,
"x chainguns, y gold, z E-tiles, etc." would be one 'contructor pack' type
"the map must be a 10x10 or less map" would be one 'rule' type
"you must use double the gold given to you from other cards" would be one 'modifier' type

I think that would make the contest more interesting. You could always get at least 2 or 3 constructor packs, then 1 or 2 more packs of any of the 3 types (or something like that to prevent getting no constructor packs)

those are just examples. There are more than 70 packs that can be randomly given to you each round. (even more when Winners start creating their own :D )



also, guys, i apologize for any confusion and/or excessively unfortunate Pack assignments.
This contest took off a LOT faster than i expected, but if you guys hang in there we can smooth it all out and make it even more enjoyable.

Keep in mind, though, that really silly Pack combinations are really what this contest is all about.


SOME CLARIFICATION:

each round you only make ONE map. that ONE map contains all the objects in the four Packs you received.
