Do you have a neat route change that you can't pull off? Is that chain of corner jumps just too hard for you? Do you think that you can actually get that damn piece of gold without wasting 80 frames? Is slipping under that drone even possible? What about that thwump corner jump? Will it even help in the long run? Can I dodge that rocket and still get that switch? What if I do a triple jump instead? Why are you asking these questions? Do you think we know the answers? CAN YOU STOP NOW?

No I don't think so...

He means, if you can see some way to get a quicker run on any level, but you aren't able to pull it off, describe what you are trying to do and someone will (at least try to) do it.

I'm pretty sure that's what he means anyway...

example:

Meta_Ing, here's how I would route a no-switch-agd on "The Execution of the Clown." I can't for the life of me jump on the left between the mines, but you sure can!

jump down to the exit
jump between the 3-4 or 4-5 mines and land on the mouth
jump onto the 3 tile and reverse jump up to the nose
cornerjump up to the door above you and collect the gold
jump down to the mouth and onto the wall
finish by walljumping up to the exit switch and fall to complete

does that help? :)

PS: the picture messes up after collecting the gold, unless you can pull that off.

Hmm... It looks like a good route, although the only problem is that you need to slow down significantly in order to jump between the mines, so your wall jump is more vertical, and you barely get any extra momentum to make the corner jump any higher.

Thought about this one a while back. Don't know if it's possible or not. Worth putting it out there. On a second look, I really don't think it's possible.

Uh, what about gameplay where you jump to different parts of a map on a preselected route, but you can only go on each route once? It'll be a real puzzle where you must find the proper path to all the gold and to victory without locking yourself into one of the parts!

It's really hard, I got to the nose corner jump, but that's it, still nice route.

here's a classic conundrum - jump between the mines on 37-3!

With all the in-between mine jumping i have seen lately.. why not!?

It's pretty easy why nobody has done it jet.
1) in-between mine jumps with mines laying on the ground are much much harder to do
2) it wouldn't be much faster
3) I don't like that level ;)

129-2 speedrun.

Look at my run at the beginning of the second chamber. Instead of holding the jump button, you can fall and go between the thwump and the wall. If done properly, it can cut off about 30-40 frames.

Well it's my method technically... kryX just nearly perfected it.

92-2 speedrun.

My run involves triple jumping on the bounceblock, walljumping on the next one, and hitting the corner. I've been able to make it to the switch without hitting the corner by getting a perfect triple jump and walljumping at the perfect height.

I've only done this twice and hit the floor at 270 frames (DAMN WALLSLIDES).

Ok i think i got a good one for 100-1

right at the beggiing fall down corner bounce(?) onto the platform wall jump then wall jump off the thwump coming down the wall jump between the to bounce pads

I could show you but i dont have the level data for that level =/

It is possible to, after the two walljumps on the right, to corner jump and then walljump the tile directly to the exit.

I can't pull it off again for some reason.

I'm pretty sure my beginning for 62-2 is faster. My top-20 demo is a horrible example but I don't feel like putting together a good run with a clean beginning.

This run is very possible, I just don't have the patience to do it cleanly.
