Remember Seneschal’s “It takes Two” competition? Well, this was basically similar to what that was: a kind of collaboration contest. The main difference here was that collaboration teams weren't randomly determined. In fact, you were able to choose a fixed collab partner for the whole competition! Each team of 2 mappers came up with their own team name and mapped together until the end of the contest.
Here are some basic rules and conditions:
1) No nreality/retile/re-object/unfinishable maps.
2) Both participants must work on their submissions.
3) Maps are due one week after the new round started, but the next round doesn’t have to automatically start on that day. For example, if round 1 started on Jan 1st, all maps are due the 8th, but the next round may only start on the 11th. It depends on how I feel, so be sure to check out this thread regularly. Anyways, if it was Jan 11th and I still had not announced round 2 yet, teams could still submit their maps, but if it was the 9th and I decided to start round 2 on this day, their work won’t be counted and they won’t be able to score that round.
4) There will be a fixed theme for each round. There may be extra rules, too (like those mapdraft extra rules, you know), but we’ll see.
5) Maps must be submitted to numa and be tagged “pot[x]”, x being the number of the round going on. Also, don’t forget to post a link in this topic. Thank you.
6) Altogether, there will be 5 rounds. But there are no eliminations! Scoring will be a cumulative process, the team with the highest score at the end of the competition wins.
7) Of course I’ll try my hardest to keep up this thing, but please don’t complain about any breaks caused by vacation or something! Just keep cool.
8) No complaints about my judging. Right? Right (;
