N jumping puzzle contest.

So I had an idea for a contest and ran it by some friends who liked the concept but are too new to the game to really compete.

The idea is to turn N into a puzzle game by completely ignoring time, speed, and gold to focus only an the number of jumps made throughout an episode.

The least number of jumps wins, so it is easy to highscore and keep updated.

I started with episode 0 and have been able to complete it in 20 jumps.

My records for the individual episodes are as follows

0-0 : 2 jumps
0-1 : 8 jumps
0-2 : 2 jumps
0-3 : 4 jumps
0-4 : 4 jumps

I'd be glad to post runs showing my paths...if anyone else in interested in this idea.

I'd be glad for any and all feedback an the idea. Thanks.

EDIT: It might be helpful if, when posting your scores, assuming they are better than the previous record, if you could put up your run so we saw the amazing way you completed 88-4 in 3 jumps or whatnot.

The current records are

Episode 0:

0-0 : 2 jumps
0-1 : 6 jumps
0-2 : 2 jumps
0-3 : 4 jumps
0-4 : 3 jumps
Total: 17 jumps

For ep 00 I have:

00-0 : 2 jumps
00-1 : 6 jumps
00-2 : 2 jumps
00-3 : 4 jumps
00-4 : 3 jumps
Total: 17 jumps

ep 01:

lvl 0 : 6 jumps
lvl 1 : 9 jumps
lvl 2 : 2 jumps
lvl 3 : 5 jumps
lvl 4 : 9 jumps (8 is most probably possible)
Total: 31 jumps

I like this idea here are a few. Although one problem I see is that I wanted to post my -0 run, but since I completed the level I can't get the demo. So I may have to redo and kill my self on the last drone to prove the jumps.

50-0 2 jumps
50-2 1 jump

31-0 7 jumps
31-1 2 jumps
31-2 0 jumps
31-3 1 jump
31-4 6 jumps

Total: 16 jumps

geez. all these can be improved. alot. except for 2-2, and maybe 4-1

I actually just saw that innovation right before I read your post. Using the thwump after exit switch to ride back up and squeeze against the ceiling. Nice work.

if someone can post the 10-04 demo in 6 jumps it would be fine, i don't see how do it, thanks ^^

Edit:
I beat Izzy on 20-04: 4 jumps (surf on the 8 tiles, hit first launchpad, first jump on bb, second jump on bb, got the exit key, hit diagonal launchpad, double bbj and got the finish :D)

I already did it in 3 jumps like 6 posts back. I think its possible to do it in two.

I would love to if I knew how to record it... how do you get that demo? The only ways I know how are in NED or beating a map in user levels.

The only jump you need though is used to exit the room with the seeker drone, launchpads can get you everywhere else.

If you have NReality, make the run as normal, but don't actually finish. Instead, get it to the point where its clear you can finish without any more jumps, and then go get yourself killed by some means other than the k button (or whatever you might have changed that to). Once you're dead, hold down shift + R. A window/tab should come up in your internet browser that has the death demo, including the map data. The only thing with this is that it doesn't work on suicide kills, because you can't watch a replay of your death with those.
