We’ve started the long overdue process of cleaning up the N highscores, but we need your help.

If you know of a highscore that was acquired by cheating, please email metanet AT metanetsoftware DOT com:

subject line “N HIGHSCORE CHEAT”
the episode and level numbers of the highscore so we can verify it, and the name of the user who holds that score

you can email as many as you like, we’ll sort through them all.

This is awesome, I checked some boards, a lot of hackers already deleted! :D Awesome work! This is one of my best days (in terms of N)

I appreciate you for doing this, I really do, but I just don't feel emailing is necessary. The highscorers already know nearly all of the hacked demos, and I feel like you will get duplicates of nearly every one. I'd suggest posting them here, so that the highscorers will know which have already been submitted. The emails should be kept to a minimum so that you don't get overloaded.

Yeah, that would be fine. "Editable" as in we can edit it, or you can edit it?

Must have just missed you -- editable as in everyone can edit it :)

Brilliant, thanks. In a moment of boredom I went through 98 of the 100 episodes and picked out all the hackers I could find. (Izzy and EddyMataGallos did the other two.) Hopefully it's complete or close to complete now. Once again, thanks for cleaning the scoreboards, that was very much appreciated.

Thank you so much M&R. I am sorry for my insistent prodding over the years, but it has all come to fruition. I am so extremely pleased my face hurts from grinning. Faith restored. The boards look like they should. Now people will actually have a chance to compete for top-20s rather than just top-10s. I really appreciate all of your efforts M&R. You two are in a very small hand full of developers who have a direct connection to your core fan base. This is greatly appreciated.

Quite intentional. Certainly I want Office Yeti, but now that the boards are clear I hope to see some renewed competition. Also Had I not seen any progress from M&R other than the Office Yeti teaser I would have prodded for more progress on v1.5.

So for now I am quite content and pleased with Metanet and patiently await the next big thing.

I've been wanting to know just how far behind the times I was on the first few levels that had always been hacked to just a couple spots since I started paying attention to the highscores. Gives me renewed incentive to try 00-1 some more, for example, knowing that I'm just one frame off of 19th position now. And in fact, since eRaseR_, DAREAPER33333, bugfinder, XxUrsusxX, and blueheaf45 are also hacked scores, I might actually be in the top 20.

Also, this validates that I have the fastest run on 00-2 without using the thwump in the middle. :)

Wow... I didn't think I'd ever see the day when I'd have a Top-20 score on 00-0. Thanks so much. Christmas has come early for me!

These aren't cheated sores, but they should be deleted. There is a bug in the submission process that on very rare occasions people end up with two duplicate scores being submitted. I can only think of two instances that I know of, but I am sure there are few more. Mammaletto on 02-3 and Kool-aid on 43-1. So if you guys could delete one of the scores that would be awesome.
