Metanet/NReality Speedrun 0th's

I feel this thread is past due. Similar to Metanet Highscore 0th's, this thread is specifically for Metanet & NReality/Legacy speedrun 0th's (00-199).
Feel free to post sr innovations here and top-20's are welcome as well.

By creating this I want to isolate speedrun 0th's in the game (00-199) from "post a run". They require a good amount of skill and they have enough significance to deserve their own thread.

This thread was absolutely needed to separate the Kool runs from the average post-a-run randomness.
I'd like it to be Metanet-only, to have the same exclusiveness as the highscore thread has. Also the names would match nicely at the top once TRO pins/highlights (dunno what's the right term) this (TRO pls?). But that's up to you, nreality speedrun 0ths are probably far harder to get than nreality hs 0th.

There isn't even a comparison. The thing is, there is a massive difficulty difference between metanet 0ths and nreality 0ths in hs which necessitates the separate thread but in speedrun they are essentially the same (slightly more difficult to get metanet ones but not by much).

I tend to agree, though years ago when I started and speedrunning was starting to get competitive metanet speedruns were tougher then NReality speedruns (maybe beside kryX NReality runs) due to the speedrun thread on the old forums, highscorers of that day already had a lot of speedrun routes made out for metanet levels leading to there not being as much time spent on NReality/Legacy (i.e. 199-4 among others didn't even have a top 10) but nowadays thanks to people like OutrightOJ & danielr a lot of the NReality 0th's are on par with metanet and require the same amount of skill to take. Ultimately I do think metanet speedruns are slightly more refined but as time passes the difference imo will get more and more unnoticeable.

Pinned to encourage some kick ass runs. With the community reaching 72k TSL I would like to see a the community get a better Total Frame Count for speedrun.

Currently for the Metanet levels the community sits at 285,436 frames. How about we shoot for sub 280k and see where we go from there?

No problem. That run wasn't meant to stand up so much as be an invitation to competition. Glad to see you not only took me up on it but came up with a much better ascent.

Took up tro on his suggestion and improved my 36-2 sr with analu's ending. Tied my first .600 run I got on hs, 376 frames.

Danielr challenged me to take back 3-0 a couple months ago, couldn't let him down so retaken by 12 frames using his double-jump method.

So I just tried that for like 20 minutes and not once did I get the ascent correctly. I am not sure how you hit your head on the 4 tile going upward with out losing all of your speed... Either way awesome run. You are well on your way to a 00 column domination.

Took 123-1, still improvable ofc. Also took 45-3, 38-2, 38-3, 38-4, 37-1.
(38-2 with new route, although it probably isnt new since its the hs one haha. I havent checked all peoples runs.)
Took 37-4 with new route. Also 35-1, 35-2.
And thats enough for today :P

took 55-0 with a few innovations, there are still at least 100 frames possible even 200 left in the map

Sorry for the absence lately guys along with work being hectic & being out of town for my birthday last week I haven't had a lot of time for N, btw happy belated birthday ska you're nine days after me :). Anyways I guess I missed out on Eddy reaching 300, ridiculous achievement man you impress me more and more each day. Also glad to see you making time to throw in some sr 0ths, awesome cleaning on 55-0 and props to kk for the find. Oh and Zella I'm after you, I come back to see my first metanet sr 0th 22-1 (later improved in-turn being my 2nd oldest 0th date on the boards after 41-3) taken after 4 years ;__:

Well to get back into things 75-1 taken (that's for 37-1 Edd) :P

Also tied 75-0, dunno if it's improvable I tried for a 185 but never made it happen, thought maybe a cj instead of a rcj would work but the drone gave me a "oh heeell nah! you best be gettin up out mah space fool!" kind of response.

EDIT: Also I got my revenge for 69-4 on 53-1 hs (though not 0th)! There should be a disclaimer for that route that beating the left drone is just the beginning of the pain...

Hated to do it, but retook my first metanet 0th 22-1. Hopefully 41-3 will hold up as my oldest non-improved 0th.

Edit: Also retook another oldie, 22-0. A bit sloppy so still improvable, especially with a thwump push from the first thwump.

I honestly didn't think you'd retake that :O Well for sure not by 5 frames, Zella's ending seemed quite lucky. Also the speed at which you "fell" down after the first wj surprised me.
EDIT: Also I got a funny thwump push on 22-0 but then a hurricane came and I messed up, so unlucky

Crazy runs. Hit the corner with perfect angle on 22-1 to fall faster there (where van says). 22-0 is so clean as well, and cool push :P
Very fast 75-1, Ill give it a try but it'll be tough. And also thanks Kool =) I thought I had already replied but seems like I didn't. Ill try to more time on sr now, and also hs episodes, don't know. Oh, and late Happy Birthday bro! :D
That Zella is mysterious indeed, I love this sort of things haha.

I've always wondered if a rcj is possible off of the top side of a thwump, never seen anyone do it. Alright so 52-1 taken by a quarter of a second, major pain in the ass. Implemented a low jump, tied van van's 301 first then finally got his ck at the end (which took me about a million tries) to put me ahead. Going for hs atm. Also 37-0 tied, I'm 99% positive you can slice a frame by hitting your head under the lp coming down.

Haha well, what I did with danielr was different. The fact that Zella could be a second mysterious account kinda defeats the purpose. Its worth trying though.

Im not sure that has happened, but I supose its something like this?:

The problem is that you are too fast after doing it (maybe I jumped a little too early as well at the end).

I don't know which one is more beneficial, I think the first one is easier because you don't have to avoid the drone later.
Here's another demo, faster one:

Too fast though, the very last drone limits you (maybe a different starting ascend to avoid it?).

EDIT: I think Im going to stick with the old route, although this is gonna turn into a framewar this way. So squeezed 3 more frames ;)
