Results are (mostly) in!
0th: Eddy (6617.650)
1st: macrohenry (6600.200)
2nd: jp27ace (6588.475)
Congratulations to everyone who participated! There were some great runs all around, I'm quite impressed. I'll be making up some userbars as soon as I have time, but don't expect it to be terribly soon --- this semester's been giving me hell.
Eddy: Very well done, sir. For your prize, I'd like to make you a custom map pack --- any specifications you'd like. Nothing too big; maybe twenty maps or so. Shoot me a PM --- I'll make anything you request. I want you to love every single map in this pack.
Finally, if any of you have any comments on the maps, I'd love to hear them. Favorites? Least favorites? I've already learned a good deal about mapping for a competition, I think, but any suggestions would be awesome.
Thank you all for participating!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So I've got a map pack out now ---
right here.

Ok i started a few on nreality but then I realized I was posting speedruns, and my "personal best" was really my fastest. How do I post my best highscore?
sorry I don't use nreality much
EDIT: never mind I figured it out

I like the look of this, although it might take me a while to get used to nreality again.
I noticed I was able to view your run on 00-1, is that just because its your map, or is private contest not working?

I'll be able to play only from 11. august, so maybe then I'll try some.

Sweet!
And jp, I did that run while I was trying to figure out how to set private contest; nothing else will show up.

Damn I'd like to participate but I'll be away for 15 days lol. I might play those last 5 days from the 15th to the 20th of August though.

I've run through the first page of
http://www.nmaps.net/browse?q=soast, and I'm enjoying the maps so far
I just thought I'd point out that 01-4 and 02-1 aren't displaying on that page, I don't know much about numa so I'm not sure why that would be.

Eddy, vankusss, Meta: If having some more time would help you guys out, just lemme know. I'll probably be busy moving/getting used to classes anyhow, so extending the deadline a bit won't change too much.
jp: I believe it has to do with the hot maps system; my maps that got voted on moved up a bit, so the order's getting a bit messed up. Kinda a pity, but they're all still there!

Well now that you say it, if you could postpone it a week or something that would be great, I will barely have time if not :/

I'll throw my hat in the ring as well. Not expecting to win what with the others who are here, but hopefully I can at least get a userbar :)

I am moving into an apartment over this weekend, and don't know when I will have internet hooked up there. Because of all the prep, I haven't finished all the levels yet, and probably won't have the time to do so by the deadline. Don't bother extending it for me, its fine.

Well damn, I forgot about this. I think I still have about 20 levels left to do (and of course its all the long ones which I couldn't be bothered with before). I guess I have the bank holiday though.
Edit: I've submitted a run for every level now, some of them are pretty bad but I don't really have the time to improve them.
I really like the level selection in this competition, did you make all of these? If so I'm impressed. I do feel 05-4 is a bit out of place in a competition based on total time compared to some of the earlier shorter levels, it feels like that one level will pretty much decide the whole thing, but overall awesome job.

I totally agree. That level annoyed me so much, but I think I have a relatively decent run now. I'm looking forward to the results. :)

It seems like most of us forgot about this.

How decent is decent :p I was hoping no one would bother, now I feel like I should improve my run.

So, uh, I've been pretty damn busy myself, and it won't be letting up until the weekend (hopefully, heh). So, if any of you still feel like making some runs, I'ma extend it till Sunday --- I should have time to score it Monday. My apologies for how this is dragging on =/
