how do i get avatars and signatures?

i know theres probably a simple answer to this.....but i cant find a way to change my avatar or how to add a signature....or pic of thumbnail.....

any help would be much appreciated :)

To change your avatar go to 'User Control Panel' in the top right, select profile and then select 'Edit Avatar' in the list that comes up, same for sig.

To post thumbnails, highlight the map address and then click the 'numa' button amongst options.

You need to upload it to an image hosting site. I suggest tinypic.com. It's simple, and you don't need an account. If you use tinypic, click the [Choose File] button, and then find/select your picture in the window that pops up. Click Choose, then click the big UPLOAD NOW! button. When the page loads, copy the code out of the "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" text box, and paste it into your signature text box.
