Game progress won't save, but settings do

I've archived a certain progress in the game, but if I continue playing and quit it after some levels the progress won't be saved.
But the key config will be saved when I change it and restart the game.
I've tried switching from N to N_Reality_v6c2, but it doesn't change anything
The game is allowed to use infinitife space for saving the game progress in the Flashplayer settings and the HDD has many GB of free space.
The game uses ~ 220kb atm
Win Vista SP1
The .sol file exist and won't be deleted.
What should I try to fix this error?

Vista
There's your problem: Vista
"Security" is stupid.
Move N to the C drive and that
should fix it. If not, try Run as Administrator.
Not a subfolder of the C drive, but in the C drive (so its path is C:\n_v14.exe)
Normally Vista doesn't throw a fit if you use an SOL file in Flash, but for some reason it does for N. Not quite sure why.
EDIT: I might be thinking of userlevels.txt, maybe SOL is fine. Try it anyways.

Are you finishing an entire episode (5 levels)? Progress isn't saved after every level, so if you keep quitting after two or three levels, you won't get anywhere.

A .sol is a special type of file which Flash Player uses to store information on your computer (in N's case, your settings, highscores and game progress). You should be able to find your .sol by searching for ".sol", or alternately for "n_v14b_userdata". We recommend keeping a spare copy of your .sol, since you can sometimes loose your data due to glitchiness.
