Anyone want to give a better explanation?

I think it's fairly obvious. You tried to dodge a ban, probably by multiaccounting.

Pikman is correct. When you see you've been banned, you don't try to get back in. You wait until the gates are reopened.

Yes. And I didn't try to dodge a ban. I haven't been banned since Suki banned me for a day in early '09.

Rhekatou, you were banned for six hours about a week back. During that period, when you tried to log in, you saw that you were banned and posted as a guest. I consider this a form of ban evasion. The reason you are banned is to keep you away for that period of time. Thus, I have banned you for seven days. If you keep on posting with the guest account, the ban will get longer and IP-based.

Aw, c'mon, just post one more time...

We still don't have an answer about the horrid shade of green though.
