Today I went to play a round of N and all my data was gone from the game. So I went and copied my backup .sol file into "C:\Users\Collin\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\6YZFCMQG\localhost" (I am running Win7). And I proceed to open the game again. But my data did not show up at all. I played through some of the episodes just for fun and it has saved that data. But no .sol file has appeared in the directory I mentioned before, and the backup copy of my .sol file is still there. Does anyone know what has happened?

I'd suggest putting the backup somewhere safe again and reinstalling N. Sounds like you've got everything else covered - you've called it n_v14b_userdata.sol, right?

Yes, it is the correct name. And by 'install' N again do you mean re-unzip N?

So I put all my N files on a flash drive and downloaded a new copy off of the Metanet website. And when I opened the game there was the couple of episodes I played through earlier. Even though there is no .sol file in 'C:\Users\Collin\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\6YZFCMQG\localhost'. I am at a loss of what to do.

Are you by any chance on a school computer, or has your Administrator set the settings to default?
Some schools (and home CPUs) have the Roaming AppData set to "return to default at end of session".
Try looking into if your computer is throwing it away.

I made of video of what is going on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6ka2dSgX1M

This is my personal computer and I have had N on it since I got it in August.

Weiiiiird. Why don't you try downloading Nreality (essentially the same as N, but has more levels and a few other perks that you can experiment with if this works out) and let that try saving? You can get it from here, and it should read the .sol from the same location.

I do have NReality. Build 6c2. And it does the same thing.

Do a search for your .sol as it's saving it some where else since your new data is still being saved just somewhere else.

I did a full search of my C:\ Drive and it only found one. Which was in the normal directory from the .sol file.

Okay. I also have checked to see if my .sol file got corrupt. But it is fine.

Does right click > Settings, and then setting Local Storage to unlimited help? Sometimes N bugs itself, and resets everything back to zero, including deleting your .sol.
