Good: Hey, N+ is the gold standard of difficulty for XBLA.
Bad: Shit, they're beating us! Make harder levels!

This game appears to be little more than N re-skinned and overclocked. I'm willing to bet you can faithfully duplicate most Super Meat Boy levels in N.
"... and when i say 'scary as hell' i really mean 'tight pink shirt'." -kai

True, but Meatboy also has other characters with distinct attributes, most levels take about 20~ seconds, and there is a really cool replay system.
Also the game is /hilarious/.

Doesn't Meat Boy also have the ninja as an unlockable character (along with a shit ton of other cool references)? I think I remember CW talking about it.

From the little I've played of SMB I wouldn't say it's more difficult, although I haven't got that far yet.
But aside from that I'm pretty disappointed in this game. It wouldn't work for the longest time when I first got it, and I just find it to be annoying unresponsive when I try and jump/walljump. Also the lack of customizable controls is bad.

I just bought the xbox version, and I'm not at all surprised that it's more difficult than N+, since controlling the meatbrick (or any other character) is such a pain.
Still pretty fun though.

TL; DR: Players of N+ are different from players of Super Meat Boy
This statistic doesn't really tell you anything. Even though it shows the percentage of the total registered players, players of both games can be completely different. I think these games are equally difficult because i'm sure there are more Super Meat Boy players than N+ players, therefor there are more players that played the first couple light world chapters then left the game for good. This is just my personal opinion but my point is that players of one game are different from the other, some are more invested and some are more casual. Some don't try to finish the game and some try to be the best on the leaderboards.

Try your best not to necrobump threads if you have nothing relevant to say. The difficulty of a game and the amount of people who try to highscore it are hardly related.SuperMI10 wrote:TL; DR: giant block of text
