Verona, by Geographer. The acoustic version is also pretty swell.

Taken by Trees - Other Worlds
Took me by surprise, this one. Wasn't expecting it to be this good.

Right now I'm listening to this, and quite enjoying it:

which is Hundred Waters' self-titled debut album.

Felt - Felt 2: A Tribute to Lisa Bonet
I really like Slug's less depressing stuff (i.e. most of his songs), and there's a lot of it here. The chemistry with Murs is great. 20 Questions from the Life Vegas EP goes with this.
Genius/GZA - Liquid Swords
Tight tight tight. 4th Chamber, Shadowboxin', and Investigative Reports are pretty sick.
Atmosphere - Lucy Ford
Earlier stuff from Atmosphere. Ant's great production + Slug being angry at everything is fun.
Masta Killa - No Said Date
Only got this because of Old Man ft. RZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard, but it's pretty solid.
Method Man - Tical
Method Man had some of the catchiest verses in 36 Chambers, so why not? Instrumentals are beautiful, but I'd have liked the vocals to be a bit louder for a couple of songs. Not bad, but Mr. Meth really shines in 36 Chambers imo.
Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-tang: 36 Chambers
Listen to this shit now.

So...new My Bloody Valentine is here. I remember trying and failing to get into Loveless a couple of times a few years back, but I have to say, I am really digging m b v; I'll have to give their earlier stuff another shot at some point.

This is good to hear because I can't stand Loveless but it's fun when bands come back from the dead so.Seneschal wrote:So...new My Bloody Valentine is here. I just created a Pandora station around Arcade Fire and Of Monsters & Men and it's been a joy so far. I was at a concert the other night and one band did a really awesome cover of Neighborhood #1. They were a larger-than-usual outfit, with two saxophones and a trumpet in addition to the typical guitar/bass/keys/drums, and it was a great time.

For some reason I'm addicted to Dr. Mario remixes and Pokémon guitar covers right now.
This one takes the cake, though.

Camel is dope! I like The Snow Goose instrumental album. And stationary traveler is a great song. Do you like any of the other Canterbury scene stuff?aapse wrote:camel - mirage. my god that is a sweet album.

I've had Girls' Generation's first Japanese album on repeat for days punctuated only by bouts of Debussy.

Recently I've really been into Kendrick Lamar's "Good Kid, M.a.a.d city". I listened to it first when it was released, and didn't really think much of it. Currently though, it's one of my favourite albums, it is just awesome.
