Honorable mention:
Peter Bjorn and John, Van Halen (Once David Lee Roth was reinstated. I saw them with Sammy Hagar as well and it was BAAAAD.), weezer avec the Foo Fighters, and Nine Inch Nails.
Also, Rush put on one of the best shows I've seen, but this retarded couple that wanted to make-out behind us wouldn't let us stand up for the first half of the show without bitching constantly.
EDIT: Also, Broken Social Scene.

You forget to mention that he was opening for The Killers. God, that fills me with rage.SlappyMcGee wrote:The best concert I've ever been to was Iggy and the Stooges last year. It was an outdoor concert, and during the third song, (Search and Destroy, no less) he told us that he hated boring fucking rock shows. So, about forty of us jumped over the rail, knocked the security guards to shit, and climbed up on stage and sang and fucked around with Iggy Pop. He high-fived me twice. It was the best day ever.
The best concert I've ever been to would have to be Final Fantasy and Do Make Say Think at The Harbourfront Festival performing Arctic Circle together. Friggin' ridiculously amazing.

Dancing coupled with electronic sounds that fluttered through the crowd in harmony with the strobe lights.

My fave? ACL fest in Austin, every year. Dylan last year, everyone said he sucked, that his voice was shot, etc, but I just stood there, thinking 'I'm seeing one of the greatest, most imaginative musicians ever. This is something to tell my grandkids about'. Great feeling.
Also, Springsteen is coming soon. Best live concert around, supposedly. :)

Bob Dylan was awful live when I saw him at the Montreal Blues Fest. My roommate saw him another time and said he was equally awful. He did these weird things with songs, like taking out the parts that the audience wanted to hear, and his voice was real bad.
But I hear the Springsteen is good.

As for Dylan, that's opinion. I happen to love him, and I love how he changes his songs every time he sings them. His voice... well, it was never great, and he's like 78. But he's still Dylan. Besides, I didn't have to pay to get in. :)

I'm convinced that he doesn't change his songs so much as forget them. I don't even mind that too much; he's just boring. He doesn't let them turn the camera on him, so at outdoor shows you can't even see him unless you're really lucky, and he doesn't say a word to the audience the entire time. It's just a shitty experience. I'd say Van Morrison is about the only guy I've seen who's worse.flagmyidol wrote: As for Dylan, that's opinion. Maybe it's just because I saw Dylan the day after I saw George Thorogood, and GT was awesome.
